* Leading a BIM and CAD Team plus support engineering staff (peak 35 staff) preparing 3350 MEP Installation & Builders to work Drawings via BIM process to in-line with Project Specifications / Construction Programme
* Arrange Shop Drawings for Local Authority approval (Civil Defense, DEWA, ADDC, etc.)
* Implement flow chats of MEP shop drawing process / BIM & CAD Standards / Project drawing preparation instructions / MEP shop drawing register in line with the company Quality Management System
* Coordinating with MEP Engineering Team for problem resolution
* Conducting technical meetings and BIM coordination workshops with Main Contractor & Consultants
* Raising RFI for design & Coordination discrepancies between Architectural, Structural against MEP services & within each service in MEP.
* Establish BIM Coordination workshops and report progress at the Project Design Team meetings.
* Track the record of BIM models, Shop drawings and their status.
* Establish quality control procedures to check that all of the models & shop drawings are accurate; the level of detail is fit for purpose.
* Identify and document the clashes between different discipline models by using clash detection software.
* Administer the agreed document and model sharing/publication system - BIM Collaboration Procedures.
* Provide technical support for all CAD software issues.
* Provide support for all plotting and electronic file transfers
* Complete regular evaluations of CAD, BIM & Support Staff
* Co-ordinate with Project Commercial Department identifying variations
* Co-ordinate with project Planning & Construction teams to identify priorities
* Conducting workshops with the consultant and make solutions for the design and coordination conflicts and obtain confirmation via raising RFI (Request for Information).
* Provide technical & training support for all in-house & outsource CAD & BIM technicians and support the staff to carry out drawing preparation & BIM coordination.
* Raising subcontract letters to the main contractor to obtain engineer’s instructions for MEP design issues and replying to the main contractor, which is related to BIM & Site matters against received RFI/ Letters/ Email correspondence etc.
* Provide fully coordinated clash free 3D model along with Individual Module 3D drawings for the Prefabrication Department to produce Modules for site installation.
* Co-ordinating with Main Contractor & Consultants for the production of accurately reflected ceiling plans, MEP service shop drawings and other interfacing documents
* Monitor and update Shop Drawings to match with revised Client requirements
* Monitor and report on CAD & BIM Production in line with the construction program & review monthly drawing production meeting with the senior management.
* Visiting a site and giving the engineering solutions and markups for the site coordination and installation issues.
