Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recordation of fixed assets.
Recommend to management any updates to accounting policies related to fixed assets.
Assign tag numbers to fixed assets.
Record fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting system.
Track the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts, and close out those accounts once the related projects have been completed.
Reconcile the balance in the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the summary-level account in the general ledger.
Calculate depreciation for all fixed assets.
Review and update the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation
Conduct analyses related to fixed assets as requested by management.
Represent the company during any audits by a government that involves fixed assets.
Track company expenditures for fixed assets in comparison to the capital budget and management authorizations.
As a revenue accountant:
Interact with other finance team and operational personnel and geographically dispersed groups in the performance of all functions as a subject matter expert of revenue accounting and reporting.
Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
Posts revenues by verifying and entering transactions form lock box and local deposits.
Ensure revenue accounting policies are documented and applied consistently on a Egyptian basis.
Use public accounting experience in support of quarterly on-going audits and the monthly and quarterly revenue accounts closing process directly and indirectly through backup support for the Company Accounting Team.
Documenting financial transactions by entering account information.
Advanced MS-Excel and Power-point skills and experience with data reporting/mining tools highly preferred
