Establishing & managing a private business entity in Sudan specialized in provision of household drinking water purification solutions and systems, including consultancy services, product & customer support services, marketing & sales of Berkey Water Purification Systems.
• Leading and managing THREE multi-disciplinary teams of sixteen(16) electrical & mechanical engineers, designers and draftsmen working in Estimation, Design, R&D of Low and Medium Voltage Switchgears.
• Developing & implementing strategic and short term plans, annual budget plan, training & career development plans.
• Maintaining effective communications and coordination levels between different teams and departments to meet the company goals and to satisfy clients requirements.
• Working jointly with the Technical Principle (OPUS - Austrailan Co.) in developing & implementing Asset Management Technical Studies for Landscaping & Irrigation assets of O&M Sector of Royal Commission of Jubail (RCJ), KSA.
• Leading the mechanical team in the collection, verification and pre-analysis of inventory and condition assessment data of Landscaping & Irrigation assets at different sites of Royal Commission of Jubail (RCJ), KSA.
• Collaborating with the Task Manager in hydraulic calculations and sizing of the pumping and piping systems for new & upgrading Irrigation Pump Stations of Royal Commission of Jubail (RCJ), KSA.
• Collaborating with the Task Manager in the preparation and review of the basic designs for the extension of new (stand-alone) Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant, besides demolition plans for old mechanical equipment and diversion of pipelines.
• Collaborating with the Task Managers in the provision of clarifications to the client queries.
• Collaborating with the project manager in the review and approval of the detailed design drawings and vendor technical data/drawings of mechanical works.
• Carrying-out daily site inspections to assure that the execution of mechanical installations and related construction works are with accordance to the approved detailed design drawings and vendor requirements.
• Follow-up and report to the project manager the actual progress of the mechanical works and deviations occurred.
• Collaborating with the project manager in the review of the RFIs (Request for Inspection), site inspections and issue of approval notes.
• Collaborating with the project manager in issuing NCRs (non-conformance reports) for deficiencies (non-compliance) and the necessary investigations and corrective actions shall be taken by contractor and/or vendor.
• Review and approve with the project manager the method statements, testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning plans with the contractor.
• Inspecting, witnessing and approving with the project manager the site acceptance tests (SAT) for the substantial completion of the mechanical installation and related construction works, pre-commissioning (primary, operations and performance tests), commissioning, start up and final hand-over to the client.
• Collaborating with the project manager in the preparation of punch lists for mechanical works during each stage of installation, substantial completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning and preliminary hand-over with the contractor and/or vendor.
• Ensuring that the client/operator complains and queries are properly handled and the necessary corrective actions are taken appropriately.
• Following-up the clearance and completion of the relevant works and documents related to then non-conformances stated in the punch lists.
• Monitoring the implementation of the quality assurance and control standards related to the mechanical works.
• In-charge of establishing of pump solutions department within the Engineering Division of CTC Group to handle and promote the business of Andritz Pumps and EQ Power & Automation in the irrigation and water sectors in Sudan.
• Preparing business plans - sales forecast, operating and capital budgets for years 2013 & 2014.
• Promoting sales and marketing of large scale irrigation pumps (above 1.00 m3/sec).
• Exploring & facilitating business opportunities between the principles and clients.
• Providing of local support services, project management and logistic & administrative services to the principles’ projects, products, personnel and clients.
• Communicating effectively and ensure excellent communications between the clients and principles.
• Reviewing the tender documents and technical specifications, and pay frequent visits to the clients and sites to gather more detailed information before bidding.
• Collaborating with the suppliers and clients in the selection of appropriate type of equipment and systems which suit their operating conditions and allocated budgets.
• Collaborating with the supplier in the preparation of the bid documents to assure that the the scope of supply/work, technical specifications, payment method and quoted prices are in accordance to the client requirements and budget.
• Attending the PMC review meetings to assist in resolving the conflicts might occur and to ensure that the project requirements are clearly communicated, understood, agreed and fulfilled by the concerned parties.
• Coordinating and supervising training programs, activities and plans at the company.
• Preparing the annual training plan & budget and getting approvals from the top management.
• Collaborating in the evaluations of the returns and deviations of training programs.
• Designing and presenting training sessions on Inter-personnel skills, Change Management, Communications Skills, Time Management Skills Leadership & Modern Management Principles and Skills.
• Writing & publishing a magazine on soft-skills and cement manufacturing technologies. Discuss and analyze the training goals and requirements of departments.
• Collaborating as a member of the Quality Management Committee in the review of the amendments requested by the head of departments at HQ in the QM procedures and forms, and ensure that they are in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 requirements.
• Attend the Management Review Meeting (MRM) and follow-up the action plan related to the training, quality management system and business development issues.
• Providing technical support services to the Procurement department at the head office.
• Assisting the Managing Director in the Business Development related issues.
• Promoting sales and marketing of DWELL oilfield equipment and Geo-Dynamic passive seismic services in oil sector in Sudan.
• Facilitating business opportunities between the principles and clients in the Oil market.
• Attend the PMC review meetings to assure that the project requirements are clearly communicated, understood, agreed and fulfilled by the concerned parties.
• Following-up the technical & commercial queries and clarifications.

• Promoting the sales and facilitate business opportunities for Weir Pumps, Weir Valves and PII Pipeline Integrity Services in the oil, water, wastewater, power and sugar industries.
• Handling the water (irrigation & RO) and wastewater treatment business - tenders, projects and sales in the water, agricultural, oil and sugar sectors.
• Paying frequent visits to the clients and sites to gather more detailed information about the clients’ tenders, projects, plans, budgets, technical problems and operating conditions.
• Reviewing the tender documents and carry-out preliminary surveys and studies on the possibility and feasibility to bid.
• Collaborating with the principles and suppliers in the selection of the most appropriate products, preparation of the bid documents and provision of competitive offers.
• Providing of local support services - technical, commercial, administrative and logistical, to the principles’ tenders, projects, sales of equipment/products, after-sale services and personnel.
• Communicating effectively and ensure excellent communications between clients and principles to avoid/solve any misunderstanding or conflicts might be occurred.
• Reporting the competition status and build information system about current & future projects.

• Assisting the Superintendent Engineer in the preparation of the seasonal (crop and Off-crop / shut-down) maintenance plans/requirements, ordering of spare-parts and personnel management.
• Writing periodical analytical reports on the machines/engines performance and failures.
• Promoting the sales of equipment, spare-parts and after-sale services.
• Coordinating between the sales, accounts, administration & logistics, and workshop.
• Supervising the ordering and delivery processes of the equipment and spare-parts.
• Following-up the status of the clients’ & suppliers’ queries, inquires/quotations, orders and technical clarifications.
• Reporting on frequently basis to M.D on the work progresses at the company.
• Supervising the inspections, maintenance and repair works of diesel engines, sugar cane harvesters, trucks and tractors.
