Coordinate operational activities in the various operating areas, troubleshoots units’ day- to -day problems and provide technical support /advice to Department Manager and Section Heads in the operational aspects of the units. Develops the best parameters and best practices for the most profitable mode of operation. Liaises with the concerned staff in Technical Department for detailed troubleshooting and elimination of recurring problems.
Direct relevant section facilities/units shutdown and start up operations for turnaround or as required, also handles emergency situations and fire fighting.\Studies and analyzes equipment/units performance and issues all types of modification requests. Reviews and comments on the same during different stages of implementation. Participates or leads teams in all types of HAZOP/HAZAN studies. Review, prioritization, development and approval of MOCs, including revision of operating manuals, data sheets, drawings (PFDs, P&IDs) and control and alarm set points as required.
Reviews lab. Results to ensure that all products meet specs and arranges for adjustments to be carried out to maintain quality standards. Maintain process indicators.Prepares monthly, yearly/statistic reports and records details of all activities in the Department.Involve in detailed incident/accident investigation, HSE committee meetings and technical presentations, internal and external audits. Daily rounds of all operating units to ensure smooth and safe running. Conduct safety talk, emergency simulation, incident reporting system, housekeeping/ HSE Inspection reports with shift Supervisors and operators.
Leading a team of shift supervisors to follow the pending jobs and regarding any variance in process parameters.Supervised and trained operators to safely and efficiently perform their work assignments.
Basically i am a chemical engineer i was working with dewan salman fibre as a shift engineer. Dewan salaman fiber is joint venture between Mitsubishi Corporation of Japan and Sam yang co of Korea and Dewan Mushtaq group of Pakistan. It is Pakistan’s largest manufacturing of polyester staple fibre. now i have finish my master in petroleum technology from UK. my Responsibilities are, Working on DCS (Distributed Control System) Continuous Polymer Plant. Smooth Operation of Plant & Process Improvement. Ensuring the availability of Stand-by Equipment. Managing Manpower and Training of Staff. Take Care of Overall Plant, Housekeeping & Health and Safety requirements. Communication with higher management. Participated in HAZIDs AND HAZOP studies on plant. Review and comment on design briefs, reports, P&IDs and safety system design material. concerning compliance with applicable rules, regulations, standards of HSE. Ensure that work is planned and executed in accordance with the clients' policies for Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental protection. Adhering to strict health & safety polices on plant.
HSE activities during operation, controlling and monitoring, safety drills, train the staff according to requirement, hazop studies, work permit, JSA Analysis, confined space, isolation of plant equipment, shut down stratup, log out tag out, hazop, lopa, sil and other safety tool according to needs
