ND scope and a team of total 150 Engineers and Designers (peaked staffing was 240).
Tengizchevroil (TCO) is Future Growth Project & Wellhead Pressure Management Project (FGP - WPMP)
located at Tengiz, Kazakhstan. The project entails the design and construction for major expansion of
Tengizchevroil (TCO) existing facilities in Tengiz. Whole construction work is being done in modularization
concept (approx 60 modules). All modules are being prefabricated in Daewoo’s workshop in South Korea and
then transported through sea and brought to Kazakhstan.
The project is unique in nature because of extreme cold climate. Winterization on each single instrument was
a must. F&G system was also made very exhaustive being a totally unmanned and fully automatic plant.
Project is in workshare with Fluor, Farnborough.
TCO Control System work was divided into 6 sub-Areas (Four Process areas, Telecom and HVAC C&I), for
which there are dedicated Area Lead and Design Lead.
My responsibilities include supervision of Detailed Engineering activities like Instrument Index in SPI, MAC
Data Exchange, Data Sheets preparation for field Instruments and F&G Instruments, Procurement support,
Cause & Effects diagrams, Cable Schedule, Termination Schedule, Layouts and modelling of Instruments in
SP 3D, Mechanical Packages.
I am responsible to study the Project scope, analyze Progress, Productivity, Schedule, Budget, ensure
Quality, resolve technical queries and manage change orders. I assure that Quality plan is followed as per
project requirement.
I am conducting weekly project review meeting with all Area Leads to keep track on all project constraints and
mitigate the same by escalating the same with other Disciplines, Project Managers and Lead Offices.
Tracking Project status, Progress and Productivity, budget hours and managing change orders for the
changes happening in technical requirement of the project.
