Role:
•Provides leadership and stewardship to a team of finance professionals for timely and accurate financial reporting, results, analysis, submissions, etc.
•Provides analytical support and guidance for monthly and quarterly business reviews and decision support analysis
•Drives fiscal year planning and budgeting process on monthly and quarterly basis

•Leading entire accounting operations and delivering financials to management on quarterly basis
•Conducting scrutiny of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable & General Ledger Accounting
•Overseeing the accounts finalization and MIS reporting & submission of Monthly Cash Budget, Monthly/quarterly Budget, Profit & Loss Statement & Balance Sheet
•Monitoring Cash Flow Statement and Fund Management
•Carrying out debtors/inventory ageing, product costing, variance analysis & overhead analysis on monthly basis and taking corrective measures for cost control
•Performing production accounting, product wise profitability analysis, physical verification of inventory on monthly basis, GL, Stock & Inter unit/bank reconciliation and financial analysis & MIS on periodic basis
•Developing Fixed Assets Register for Audit Compliances and Capital Allowances
•Interfacing with Head Office (Nigeria) and Corporate Office (Dubai)
•Taking legal opinion from External Agencies/Consultant
•Looking after checking of Tax liability, working & data for filing returns
•Working with Internal & external auditors for ensuring internal control & statutory compliances
•Procuring Bank Guarantees & opening Letter of Credit; submitting monthly stock statement with the Banker
•Managing Receivables & Payables including ageing analysis and various MIS reports correlating sales & collections
•Developing MIS (monthly/quarterly), Fund Projection, Exchange fluctuation report, creditors & debtors report, etc.
•Ensuring statutory compliance, filing of VAT, PAYE, WHT & NSITF returns and handling Tax/PAYE audit
•Project feasibility report/evaluation and Project Accounting
Highlights:
•Saved US$ 1.5 Million annually in the Accounting & Billing Department budget by rearranging workloads, removing unproductive personnel and eliminating some budgeted vacant positions
•Reduced the regional accounts receivable days from 92 to 32 in 10 months through measures such as ensuring larger down payment, reduced credit terms, tightening credit requirement, consistency in credit policy, accuracy in invoicing, dispute management etc.
•Created and implemented automated financial accounting systems that increased transparency, reduced processing time, minimized human error, reduced cost and ensured automated report generation
