I am directly reporting to Head of Corporate Banking, Dubai and responsible to develop a corporate banking portfolio targeting Dubai and Northern Emirates Regions. Initially I was assigned a portfolio of AED850MM(funded and unfunded). I have added 9 new relationships amounting to AED300MM in 2015 and my current portfolio size is AED1.15 Billion. As the bank does not have a product wise segmentation, existing portfolio consists of mix of customers from Trading, Manufacturing, Services, Contracting and Real Estate.
• Responsible for the effective relationship management of a portfolio of corporate customers, existing and new, with a view to enhancing corporate relationships
• Prepare new and renewal credit proposals and follow-up security and mandate issues effectively in order to maintain high quality lending practice.
• Establish liaising with other departments such as Credit Risk, Credit Control, Centralized Operations, Trade Services and Transaction Banking to ensure best in class customer service and to optimize on the relationship return
• Responsible for actively cross-selling and targeting new business.
• Actively cross-sell a variety of banking products including Payments and Cash Management, Trade Finance, Treasury.
Was responsible for acquisition of New to Bank Commercial Banking (CMB) relationships and the profitability of CMB Liability Portfolio in HSBC Sri Lanka. Eight Business Development Officers and CMB middle level Relationship Managers (six RMs) reported to the above position (please refer annexure 1 for job description).
Key Results: Acquired new assets over LKR 1 Bn from new to bank customers in 2011
30% growth in FX business during 2011
Was responsible for the overall strategy of SME portfolio and directly reported to Group Managing Director (Please refer annexure 2 for job description)

Was responsible for the profitability and the asset growth of Development Finance portfolio (please refer annexure 3 for job description)
Key Results: Developed LKR 1.2 Billion Development Finance Portfolio (net) in two years
Enrolled for seven new credit lines from 2006 to 2010
Managed a lending portfolio which consists of Cooperates and SMEs. Lending products includes Leasing, Hire Purchase, Term Loans and Short Term Revolving Loans.

The initial responsibilities were in the area of developing a customer portfolio as the company was in the development stage of the business. Products marketed include leasing; hire purchase, Business Term Loans, Short Term Revolving Loans and Revolving Import Loans, etc. Sales, credit evaluation, preparing credit proposals for approval, post approval documentation, execution of facilities, post disbursement follow up and collections were among the key responsibilities.
Career began as a free lance Relationship Officer at SMB in 1998. Due to good performance, was absorbed to the permanent cadre from April 1998 as a Senior Marketing Officer. Products marketed include Business Term Loans, Import Facilities (L/C and Revolving Import Loans) Leasing, and Short Term Working Capital Loans. Two merit certificates were awarded for excellent performance in selling investment products in 1998 and 1999.
