I am working as Divisional health, safety & Environment Manager for Electrification business in ABB Saudi Arabia. I am member of ABB country Safety council for planning and participating in establishing procedure, leading incident investigation and defining corrective and preventive actions. I am part of group audit and assurance and Incident investigation team. Developing and supporting country management representative on ABB way Management system (based on ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 50001-2018) development and implementation. As Divisional HSE Manager my key responsibilities are as under:
• Demonstrate a strong commitment towards health and safety standards and guidelines, management systems and procedures
• Provide functional oversight, direction, and guidance of health and safety aspects throughout the organization
• Monitor, coordinate, measure performance, and report on, all health and safety activities throughout the organization
• Further develop and implement organization-wide health and safety initiatives including processes and procedures
• Communicate all health and safety initiatives, processes and procedures throughout the organization to ensure all persons have a common and uniform understanding
• Monitor compliance of health and safety requirements and handle non- conformance issues according to relevant procedures
• Coaching senior and line managers to achieve excellence in health and safety

• Assist and guide all levels of management, supervisors and HSE advisors to implement accident prevention activities plus where necessary provide interface to Contractors/Clients
• Roll-out where necessary, initiate and maintain quality input of a health and safety management system which meets the OHSAS18001 specifications

• Carry out safety audits, investigate accidents and root causes, introduce, and supervise corrective actions

• Monitor, communicate and apply standards created and/or maintained by external bodies, and integrate within internal health, safety management systems

• Maintain a working knowledge of health and safety legislation, best practices and industry standards in all jurisdictions in which the organization operates

• Provide guidance on competency-based health and safety training for all persons throughout the
Organization

• Develop and implement health and safety management strategy and plans, including resource, systems, timescales, financials, to support, contribute to, and integrate within, the organization’s annual business plan and long-term strategy

• Research and prepare technical information on specific health and safety topics and issues as required
• Plan and manage departmental activities in accordance with agreed budgets and timescales

Being OHS Manager for Factories my responsibilities were:

• To ensure that the health and safety management system is being fully implemented and maintained.
• To maintain and keep up to date a copy of the policy statement and agreed working practices and, as far as possible, to ensure that members of staff are aware of these requirements.
• To ensure that all business units have documented risk assessments record and are being reviewed on regular basis.
• To monitor and ensure action plans raised from department safety representatives and risk assessments are completed within a predetermined time scale and approve for final close out.
• To conduct regular OHS meetings with representatives to collect and collate data from performance measurements
• To ensure that any Incident/accident is recorded and that any requirement to notify the enforcement authority in writing is complied with.
• To ensure where required investigation reports are completed following any incident and that any control measures that may be required are implemented within a predetermined time scale.
• To ensure any action following an incident is implemented.
• To monitor and ensure any non conformance raised from audits is completed within a predetermined time scale and approves for final close out.
• To review the inspection reports of the premises in order to check on the existence of hazards or potential hazards and, where they are found to exist, to bring the matter to the attention of supervisors or management.
• To ensure that In case of installation of any new machinery it must be in accordance with manufacturer instruction and where any specialized instruction or training is required for such machinery must seek those.

Working as Senior OHS Adviser my key responsibilities were:

• Establish the Project Safety Plan.
• Set the pace for the Project Safety Plan & Project Loss prevention Program with the Safety Engineer.
• Establish and direct the Site Safety Programs & Ensure that safe procedures, practices, regulations, and client rules are being implemented.
• Provides full support to the safety program by enthusiastically advocating those programs.
