• Ensures the compliance of the projects with ICRC ESAP requirements as defined in the ESAP technical framework
• Ensures due application of the ESAP Operation & Maintenance guidelines
• Acts as focal point for any electricity related matter for stakeholders and end-users
• Conducts electrical assessments on the installations and formulates recommendations of interventions in accordance with ESAP technical framework
• Assists the ESAP Project manager in preparing BoQs and electrical drawings
• Prepares purchase orders (“SRs”)
• Organizes with the electrician team leaders the tasks for the interventions of the day in accordance with the general planning of interventions defined with the ESAP Project Manager
• Supervises all electrical works in ICRC premises, intervenes electrical installation work if situation requires
• Anticipates in due time, plans and coordinates routine & ad-hoc interventions in accordance with ESAP operation & maintenance guidelines
• Manages the database of requests for maintenance for electricity related issues
• Supervises the movement of material in & out of the ESAP electrical stock of items, coordinates any need for specific equipment & tools for the works
• Requests allocation of vehicles to the fleet department and coordinates its movements between the different sites of works
• Conducts daily visits to the projects sites, closely supervises the electrician team leaders on the on-going works, provides technical recommendations
• Organises small local ad-hoc purchases in accordance with the Administration & Logistic procedures.
• May receives and implements delegated tasks from the ESAP Project Manager; in particular any project management duties such as (but not limited to) budget & planning follow up, updates, reporting, etc…
• Establishing ELV environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation, defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.
• Coordinate with different service provider the design, review, and implementation of all ELV function and discipline required for the projects.
• Configure and program CCTV cameras, access control panels, intercom devices, gate barriers, Fire Alarm, PAVA and software interfaces.
• The implementation of new solutions and improving resilience of the current environment.
• Involve in testing and commissioning of the installed systems and ensure compliance and handover.
• Maximizing performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating with service providers on optimization.
• Manage Division P&L, periodically meeting with Finance and/or Director of General Services to discuss Expenditure vs. Budget
• Conducting performance reviews for direct reporting Colleagues and disciplinary actions within the team.
• Approval of Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) programs ready for implementation to Computer Managed Maintenance System (CMMS) tool.
• Assisting other departments with facilities related tasks/issues.
• Creating Permits to Work (PTW) for vendors/sub-contractors and signing off work completion certificates.
• Ensuring training programs are delivered to all Colleagues in order to obtain annual and quarterly training hours.
• Managing Service Requests (SR) and ensuring they are completed in a timely manner.
• Monitoring departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and strategic initiatives.
• Ensure that items in the Safety Log from HSE are attended to and rectified in timely manner.
• Coming up with new technologies and systems.
• Having new partnerships with new manufactures.
• Ensuring the all ELV, Low current, electrical, or IT works going according to what client's require and what had been planned.
• Responsible for the IT, Telecom, ELV, Electronic Security and Fire Alarm systems design contents as assigned together with its follow-up for Authorities and Client's approval.
• Responsible for chairing coordination meetings with the contractors to ensure that the intended design is implemented
• Responsible for regular site visits to ensure installation standard is satisfactory.
• Liaison and coordination with all applicable Local Authority Departments to obtain approval at all stages of the project.
• Coordination with other Discipline Engineers (Architectural, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical) as applicable.
• Responsible for the design review of the IT, Telecom, ELV, Security and Fire Alarm services.
• Participation in design review meetings and workshops. If required.
• Preparation of meeting records, design review and design progress reports.
• Liaise with Local suppliers / Contractors to ensure adherence to standards and scope of works required by client.
• Coordinate with design managers undertaking close-out work in all stages of the design development.

• Provide guidance and advice to the ELV team for alternative proposals by the contractor.
