Main responsibilities and duties:

•A part of the Mechanical Static Equipment Maintenance team during the operation of Damietta I Methanol plant, generally responsible for carrying out all Mechanical Static Equipment maintenance field activities during normal operation, demonstrate effective overall leadership and partnership with other peers.

•Directly supervise the core Static Equipment Maintenance activities using the approved engineering codes and standards. These equipment include but not limited to: Boilers, Tanks, Vessels, Columns, Heat Exchangers, Cooling Towers, Valves, PRV’s, Reformers, Loading Arms and Cryogenic piping components. Also lead general services day to day activities (Supervise the supplementary maintenance activities that include: Welding, Heat Treatment, Machining, scaffolding, Painting, Insulation, Lifting, Piping fabrication and other workshop activities).

•Supervise the activities of assigned technicians in Static equipment maintenance discipline according to company maintenance procedures and schedule ensuring that work objectives and programs are safely implemented.

•Safely supervise the activities that performed using the high pressure machines such as Jet cleaning pump, PSV test bench, Hydraulic torque wrench, Test pumps and bolt tensioner.

•Lead subcontractor mechanical technicians during different Plant’s Operation modes (Normal operation and turnaround) while which the reporting to will vary accordingly between 20 to 40 technicians.

•Work in a rotation shift basis covering multi-discipline’s activities (Rotating, Electricity and Instrumentation) in the capacity of the maintenance shift leader.

•Participate and establish clear guidelines for the development of written procedures to be followed by mechanical static equipment maintenance personnel during all operation activities. Also establish the corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

•Identify outsource support, materials and spare parts when required and ensure that spares are properly stored and preserved according to OEM recommendations.

•Behave with high commitment to follow the system for reporting; investigating; lessons-learned; and follow-up for all maintenance activities, with primary focus to undesired incidents and accidents.

•Be part of the team for establishing a Computer Maintenance Management System (Maximo CMMS) to support all maintenance activities and internal customer requirements. Also ensure all static equipment maintenance activities are recorded in the CMMS through neat, clear, and correct feedback.

•Liaising with other departments (Technical, QA/QC, operation) to reach optimum performance for static equipment through maintenance programs, MOC’s, Inspection…

•Cooperate with Planning Department to develop Turnaround and Plant Shutdown Plans (including: Work Scope Definition, Man Power plan, Spares Availability, Procedures, Tools and Special tools availability, Turnaround KPI’s, …)

Highlights and Achievements:

•Join Emethanex maintenance team during the planned shutdown in July 2012, with safely zero leak startup.
•Safely supervise the package boilers hydro-test at 176 bar, also steam drum PSV pop test (life high pressure steam at 140 bar).
•Safely supervise the Steam Methane Reformer Catalyst replacing.
•Safely perform chemical cleaning for a shell and tube heat exchanger to be used in an Oxygen service.
•Safely supervise online seal injection for various catastrophic leaks (to save the plant from unplanned Shutdowns)
•Supervise the major repairs on the underground fire water FRP supply pipelines.
•Prepare for the upcoming plant turnaround in June 2017.

•Basic Plant Process: Natural gas feed conditioning, Liquefaction process, Water treatment, Waste water treatment and power generation.

•On The Job Training:

Perform the mechanical maintenance related activities including preventive and corrective maintenance schedule to optimize the reliability & availability of the equipment considering the plant operation & safety.

Follow up the preventive and corrective maintenance activities done by outsource contractor (Egyptian Maintenance Global Company) according to a pre-set schedule.
