Ammar Muhammad Pervez is a Mechanical engineer with experience of design, Risk Based Inspection (RBI) and Fitness For Service (FFS) for leading oil and gas companies including Saudi Aramco, GASCO and Qatar petroleum to name a few.

Currently employed in Abu Dhabi in Velosi Asset Integrity and continues to pursue his career in core mechanical engineering design and analysis.

Along with the technical aspects of the job, I have been involved from the proposal stage and pre-bid meetings to presentations and final closeout workshops for the projects. These activities involve not only presenting my work but also convincing the client, responding to the client queries but also the optimization of the present system of client. Most notable accomplishment includes conducting week-long workshop in Saudi Aramco.

Being familiar with not only design codes ( ASME Sec VIII Div1, Div 2, API 650 etc.) but also Applicable damage mechanisms in industries (API 571) for identifiying and predicting defects and Fitness for service codes (B31G and API 579) gives him a significant edge over others and gives him a broader vision as an engineer involved in design and analysis.

Presently, gaining hands on experience on design-by- analysis methodology of ASME Sec VIII Div. 2 using FEA tools like ANSYS and FE/Pipe for static equipments and also exploring the field of offshore platform analysis (as per API-RP 2A) using a well known industry tool, SACS.

•Conversant with modeling of Piping Hardware for pipe Stress
•Performed variety of Analyses like Buried Pipe Analysis, API 610 Pump Nozzle load check etc.
