- Elaborating and develop operations procedures and guidelines
- Elaborate, implement and evaluate operations plan
- Liaising with Customs Dept. for establishment of customs procedures
for Free Zone and streamline of operational procedures
- Ensure smooth customers day to day operations by ensuring that DFZ
offers a conducive and business friendly environment for trade
- Ensure that DFZ offer a productive and efficient working environment to
all its team members
- Ensure that DFZ reaps the maximum of financial benefits from services
offered to customers
- Negotiate preferential tariffs for DFZ and its customers
- Counselee and advise investors concerning free zone incentives and
opportunities
- Provide all facilities Management and services in order to ensure the
Free Zone continues to provide its Customers with high quality, safe and
secure operating environment
- Coordinate and supervise project and ensure that all Free Zone
constructions are delivered on time, as per assigned budget and the
highest quality
- Elaborate, develop and manage the security system of DFZ
encompassing personnel, procedure and materials requirement
- Develop all aspect of DFZ’s Health and Safety policies and Regulations
and ensure that it is implemented consistently across DFZ
- Monitor, evaluate and review existing, new and upcoming Health and
Safety legislation
- Work proactively with DFZ Management to establish and maintain a
program of continuous improvement in the management of Health and
safety, which include regular audits
- Develop a site safety management plan for any project to ensure a safe
working environment for DFZ staff, clients visitors and contractors
- Communicate, coach and assist DFZ staff and customers to ensure that
all safety expectations are understood and met
- Ensure that an accident management system and a rigorous risk
assessment to identify hazards and to ensure that appropriated control
measures are in place
- Maintain a record of all accidents
- Review and update all needed agreements with relevant Authorities
such as Port Fire Dept., Local Fire Dept., Djibouti Port Secure
- Undertake the planning and implementation of fire drills and other
evacuation procedure
- Create a culture of injury-free attitudes within DFZ team and provide
required training (first aid and fire extinguishers) for DFZ staff
