Preparing Management Accounts and Trial Balance for External Auditors
Ensuring that wrongly classified account heads are reversed and re-posted properly.
Ensuring that All vouchers - purchase invoices, petty cash and sales invoices are promptly posted and the general ledger updated.
Ensuring that the Company does not lose any data at all through regular backing up of accounting data.
Being a multi-user package, ensuring that all users restrictions as stipulated are strictly adhered to.
Regular visitation to Project sites for cash count and balancing of their cash book from time to time.
Ensuring that no Project accountant delays their monthly returns to head office through close contact and monitoring via emails and telephone.
Conducting training for new employees for proper understanding of department targets and objectives etc.
Reconcilliation of subledgers with general ledger on Sage 300 ERP software
Monthly VAT returns with FIRS
Maintenance of memorandum records (prepayments, asset registers, rent amortisations schedules).
I am a qualified Chartered Accountant I am also a graduate of Account Technician Scheme. I hold a Higher National Diploma in Accountancy from a Polytechnic here in Nigeria.
