- Ensure that actual sites comply with the approved drawings submitted by contractors.
- Prepare a report with a list of missing/damaged items and submit to contractor.
- Prepare manual progress reports, to be discussed with engineers.
- Perform other similar or related duties as and when assigned by the Engineers.
- Ensure that all work procedures are carried out in accordance with AADC electrical wiring regulations and System Safety Rules and HSE.
My duties as an electrical engineer includes :-
- Prepare / quantifying total material requirements for the project in coordination with Supervisors / foremen and ensuring timely issuance of that purchase requests to procurement.
- Coordinating with procurement for the timely issuance of LPO’s and vendors for the timely delivery of materials.
- Coordinating with Planning Engineer and Supervisors in quantifying total labor requirements for the project and notifying Sr. Engineer / Project Manager in advance the labor requirements of the project.
- Coordinating / Following up with Supervisors to get the daily productivity, compare with planned, taking corrective actions for loss of productivity / notifying Sr. Engineer / Project Manager about the same.
- Working out delivery and installation schedules for switch gear, cables and fittings.
- Coordination with Mechanical / other trades for services clashes during installation.
- Assist / lead in managing / coordinating with design engineers and drafting team for the submission / approval of shop drawings, tracking progress by shop drawing register.
- Take lead in managing / Coordinating with engineers and procurement department for vendor finalization / material submission and approvals of suppliers / vendors / equipment, tracking progress by material submission / procurement register.
- Liaising with SEWA / FEWA / ETISALAT authorities for approvals and having up-to-date knowledge on the current regulations and standards.
- Ensuring proper documentation, inspections are made / obtaining approvals for all site installation.
- Assist in Project Closeout Documentations.
- Practicing basic principles of electricity and technical issues.
- The operation of machinery used in the paints production.
- A wider view about the electrical engineering profession.
Concentration : Business Management Completed 120 ECTS
- Attended two weeks of lectures and practical sessions to improve soft and hard engineering skills. The program included both theoretical and practical sessions. - Graduation Project: Laser Audio/Data Transceiver.
