Proudly bing one of the main piping members that responsible for success the following projects:
• Vent Recovery unit (VRU3), ASORC (2022-Present)
• Coker Complex Rehabilitation (Vacuum Distillation Unit (VRU)), SUIZ (2021-2022)
My main responsibility and duties are:
- Supervising and guiding the piping designers and responsible for the quality of their work.
- Responsible for the checking and quality control of the overall piping design within the assigned area
- Participate and prepare Plot plan (Equipment layout) using equipment list and PFD ( process flow diagram).
- Ensures the full implementation of company manuals, procedures, departmental work instruction, design guides and related checklists in accordance with the requirements of the company quality, environmental, health and safety management systems.
- Ensures the full implementation of project specification and standards.
- Responsible for checking of piping design, equipment orientations, tie-in lists, piping utility location plans, general arrangement index plans, general arrangement drawings and isometrics.
- Yellow off P&ID’s to ensure all piping, equipment and notes are considered in 3D model.
- Review related engineering documents of other disciplines and suppliers to ensure implementation of piping design requirements.
- Review packages / skid deliverables and 3D model.
- Participate in design review, HAZOP and risk assessment meetings.
- Participate in preparation of project specifications, standard details, design notes, procedures and lesson learned.
- Review the reply for field queries/clarifications during construction stage.
- Participate in site survey and tie-in verification .
Finishing the following projects as “ senior piping design engineer ” :
• “ ETHYDCO ”: “ Utilities Required For The Ethylene ” finishing design for cooling tower area, and Demi water tank orientation also successfully finalised coordination with instrument air compressor supplier regarding detailed design related to piping work.
• “ ETHYDCO ”: “ New Polyethylene Plant 400, 000 Mt / Y- Detailed Engineering ” I was proudly to be one of that project team, I was responsible for vent recovery unit that containing two stage reciprocating compressor.
• “ ETHYDCO ”: “ Permanent Power Plant (PPP) ” that project I was responsible for three gas turbine generator and its required utility systems that was related to there piping works.
• “ ASORC ”: “ Utilities And Offsite For ASORC Naphtha Complex “ I finished early phase piping work scope such as Project plot plan, tie-in list and verification for piping route on existing plant, clarification related to piping scope on compressor and pumps bidder, Also finishing orientation drawing for fuel oil tank and instrument Air vessel.
Duties and responsibilities:
Assigned as “ Senior Piping Engineer ” I was responsible for the following:
- Participates in checking activities of piping design, comprising plot plans, equipment orientations, General Arrangement drawings, isometrics and material take-off. • Reviews and checks preliminary and final piping drawings.
- Prepares piping scope of work and man-hours estimate. • Prepares piping study drawings from plot plans and P&ID's.
- Prepares, develops and reviews with high accuracy the piping general arrangement drawings of areas of the plant.
- Prepares preliminary design sketches for completion by designers.
- Participates in supervising the technical work of the department and provides technical assistance as needed.
- Reviews supplier ' documents of equipment / packages.
- Handles field queries and conflicts during the construction stage for projects.
- Ensures the full implementation of the company manuals, procedures, department work instructions, and design guides in accordance with the requirements of the Company Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management Systems.
Participated in finishing and finalised the following projects:
• Utilities Required for The Ethylene for ETHYDCO (2012 -2014).
• Kharir Basement Processing Unit Train-Kharir for Total E&P Yemen (2009 - 2011).
• E/Methanex Damietta 1 Methanol Project for TECHINT (2008 - 2009).
• Ethane Recovery Project San Joaquin for WEPCO (2007 - 2008
Duties and responsibilities:
Assigned as “ Piping Designer Engineer ” and responsible for the following:
- Assists in the preparation of piping scope of work and man-hour estimates.
- Assists in the preparation of plot plans. ‐ Prepare piping study drawings from plot plans and P&ID's.
- Developing 3D piping model by using PDS.
- Prepare piping bill of materials (MTO) extracted from PDS.
- Prepare preliminary design sketches and design drawings.
- Prepare vessels and tanks orientation drawings.
- Review supplier's documents of equipment, packages, and instruments …. etc.
- Prepare piping isometric drawings (ISO) from 3D model PDS..
- Prepare piping general arrangement drawings (GA) From PDS by 2D microstation program
- Assists in the preparation of piping scope of work and man-hours estimates.
- Prepares piping study drawings from plot plans and P&ID's
- Prepares piping bills of material.
- Prepares preliminary design sketches and design drawings.
- Prepares suppliers ' documents of equipment / packages.
- Prepares piping isometric drawings. ‐ Provides technical support for construction team at site.
