• Managing and directing the team (Engineers and Technicians) of O&M of Dakahlya Region optical network PDH, SDH, DWDM and OTN.
• Installation, testing and commissioning of Alcatel, Nokia and ZTE and any Transmission equipment.
• Monitoring alarms, network performance, network optimization, opening and analyzing trouble tickets, troubleshooting and isolating failures related to Alcatel, Nokia and ZTE Transmission equipment.
• Plan and Perform preventive maintenance tasks for network equipment and sites.
• Supervise the new projects execution and Prepare reports regarding status of the projects.
• Monitor and report upon network performance and capacity.
• Identify and diagnose complex problems and factors affecting network performance.
• Evaluate and identify opportunities for network performance and functionality improvements.
• Provides guidance and direction for less experienced engineers.
• Prioritizes work according to business priorities and production availability requirements.
• Ensure network policy, controls, and procedures are maintained throughout the team.
• Escalation of network issues to management.
• Provide team leadership, advanced system administration, operational support and problem resolution for a large complex network environment.
• Assign tasks, track time, manage projects, conduct workflow analysis and perform team status reporting.
• Coordinate resources for the team by performing detailed planning, assigning tasks and team mentoring.
• On call as needed for problems and incidents.
• Operation and maintenance of Optical Networks for Dakhlia Governorate.
• Operation and maintenance of SDH and DWDW equipment of Alcatel, ZTE.
• Commissioning and Acceptance tests for the new projects.
• Installation, testing and commissioning of Alcatel and ZTE equipments.
• Monitoring alarms, network performance, network optimization, opening and analyzing trouble tickets, troubleshooting and isolating failures related to Transmission equipment.
• Plan and Perform preventive maintenance tasks for network equipments and sites.
• Supervise the new projects execution and Prepare reports regarding status of the projects.
• Working experience in Alcatel NMS:
1. RM, EM management system for ADM equipments on SUN servers.
2. 1354 RM, 1353 SH management system for OMSN equipments on HP Servers.
3. 1354 BM-ETH management Server for Ethernet Management.
4. 1350 OMS 11 (WDM, SDH, PKT, EML, USM) on HP Servers.
• Working experience in ZTE management NetNumen U31 for (SDH, WDM).
• Working experience in Alcatel ADM and OMSN equipments 1G (Fox 1631, 1641smc, 1651sm, 1661smc), 2G (1660sm, 1650sm, 1662smc, 1670sm), DWDM (1830 PSS 32/36)
• Working experience in ZTE SDH ZXMP (S325, S385), DWDM ZXWM (M920).
• GEth, SDH rates, PDH rates operation and maintenance.
• Using the OTDR (hp, wavetek) and Arc splicing equipments (Fujikora).
• Hands on experience with test and Measurement equipment (SDH analyzer, PDH analyzer, Optical Measurement Equipment, Optical power meter, Optical Attenuator)
• Perform 24x7 supervision (availability and performance) and configuration changes activities and duties for entire network using the network management tools to insure highest reliability and availability.
• Knowledge in NOC operations (shift duties, fault handling, dispatching, testing, change management, reporting, etc)
• Familiar with transmission equipment fixed transmission and has ability to deal with the DDF, ODF.
• Part Time Instructor for (SDH transmission, Alcatel SDH Equipment, WiMAX, Wi-Fi, CDMA, DWDM, GSM, Telecommunication Fundamentals)
