Estimation of proximate nutrient composition and minerals such as Moisture, crude protein, crude fat and total fat, ash, crude fiber, Nitrogen free extract, Calcium, Phosphorus etc. in feed and raw materials.
Estimation of acid value, iodine value, free fatty acids, peroxide value, Saponification value etc. of fish oil, lecithin fluid and extracted fats.
Estimation of Total Volatile Base Nitrogen (TVBN), peroxide value, residual sulfur etc. in shrimp meat
Purity assessment of different disinfectant and laboratory chemicals (Hypochlorite, Trichlorfon, CuSO4, Phosphoric acid, NaHCO3 etc.)
Perform all kinds of chemical analysis for different soil and water samples
Oversee and participate in the preparation of chemical reagents and their standardization.
Assist the Laboratory staff in coordinating the activities and operations of the laboratory and overseeing lower level staff.
Prepare analysis reports and monitoring the records
Professional Expertise
More than 4 years of experience in chemical analysis of feed, food and water.
Expertise to perform the most complex and difficult laboratory analysis; develop new methods and techniques of analysis, prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), method validation and technical reports writing.
Have essential skills to assess laboratory equipment needs; trouble shooting and calibration.
Ability to build compliance with regulatory issues into the culture of the lab and knows all regulatory requirements such GLP, PPE, EMS etc. and quality requirements as per corporate system norms like LMS, ISO, EU, SASO, HACCP etc.
Having experience of Quality Assessment tools such as internal proficiency check using performance evaluation samples like standard reference materials, collaborative test using laboratory inter-comparison samples, performance audits or compliance audits using audit check lists to check deviations from SOP and non-conformities etc.
Participating in UK based QMAS & LGC AFPS - Animal Feeds, FAPAS- Food Chemistry& Water Chemistry PT Program-1 (2016) proficiency testing (PT) and got excellent Z score.
Having technical skills to handle advanced analytical instruments viz. AAS, Flame Photometer and UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, 2300 Kjeltec Analyser Unit, Distillation Unit (K-355), GC, HPLC, Soxtec, Fibertec, PCR, Gel Electrophoresis Unit, BioFish300&700 and NMR etc.
