• Type pertinent information of patients seen by the doctor directly into the hospital information system using the ICD 9 coding system accurately and efficiently.
• Responsible for making discharge summaries, postoperative reports, medical reports and making approval letters to insurance companies for patient operation or any radiological procedure.
• Liaise with doctors, nurses, and other medical and non medical staff.
• Verifies accuracy of patient information such as name and identification number, verifies accuracy of transcription for correct punctuation, grammar and spelling.
• Excellent computer skills with a speed of thirty words per minute.
• Encode the patient’s complaints, clinical examinations, and procedures done as dictated by the physician.
