CONDUCTING INSPECTIONS OF THE STORE.
1. Placing indents on supplying sources.
2. Receiving, Accounting and Issue of the stores.
3. Conditioning & Disposal of unserviceable stores.
4. Ensuring holding of the stores as scaled to an Army unit and replenishment against those rendered unserviceable.
5. Monthly and Annual Stock Taking and regularization of the variation (surplus/deficiency) between ledger and physical stock after obtaining sanction from the CFA (Competent Financial Authority).
6. Placing Forecast demand for Controlled/Costly items.
7. Submission of Reports to higher HQs.
8. Maintenance of all types of Registers in the Store.
9. Conducting periodical Inspections of Arms, Ammunition, Vehicles, Equipments and other stores and preparing Inspection Reports as per the remarks of Inspecting Officer/his team.
10. Local Purchase - Calling of tenders, Making Comparative statement of tenders and obtaining sanction for Local purchase, placing supply order and its accounting.
11. Correspondence with supplying depots, various intermediate HQs and other army units .
12. Hold responsibility for functioning of the office with five subordinates.
13. Ensuring Care, Preservation, Stacking etc of the stores as per specification by the persons tasked for the purpose
