Handled end to end AR Process for one of the largest hotel chains in the with responsibilities given below:
• Responsible for Collection Accounting, Inter-Company Accounting, Month-end closing activities, Preparing GL schedules, financial reporting and AR Aging Reconciliation.
• Maintaining accountability for the standard chart of accounts and for the preparation of account analysis/reconciliations on a timely basis.
• Having meetings with business finance, HR, the ground team, and debtors etc. to get details of the unidentified cash received to enable correct accounting treatment.
• Reclassification of the items posted in Collection Clearing GL or Bad Debts GL by performing timely reconciliations of Customer’s Open items v/s the Open items in AR ledger.
• Coordinate with Auditors for Internal & Statutory Audit and Due Diligence.
• Performing the periodic close of general ledger which includes maintaining the close schedule, scheduling of subsystem feeds, making materiality decisions on closing entries and communicating to client when the monthly trial balance is finalized.
• Investigate and resolve unidentified and unapplied cash item and match debit and credit transactions.
