• Collating revenue data from various information processing systems and preparing revenue disclosures in financial statements
• Acting as an audit coordinator in various external, internal, special tax and ISO audits/reviews
• Feeding yields into the Revenue projection system on a weekly basis so that accurate revenue projections can be made for top management decision making
• Monitoring weekly revenue amounts and investigating reasons for variances in different revenue components
• Comparing revenue figures in different information processing systems to ensure integrity of revenue accounting process
• Reviewing monthly management reports for example revenue summary reports, revenue reconciliations and management financial reports
• Preparing others custom management analysis at the request of senior management to analyze particular revenue component.
My key responsibilities here include:
Leading large teams through planning, execution and completion stages of audit
Engagement planning based on understanding of the entity and assessment of business and related audit risks
Coordination with the team manager to define the extent of planned audit procedures and to update on the progress of the engagement
Supervision, review and finalization of an assurance engagement
Liaison with client's management and communication of relevant matters to persons at appropriate level of responsibility
Consultation on significant matters with various professionals such as lawyers, tax advisors, actuaries and IT experts
Assisting clients in preparation of financial statements in accordance with the applicable financial reporting framework including compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), local corporate laws and directives of regulatory authorities
Establishing positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members, clients and other stakeholders
Providing basic advisory services to clients in respect of taxation, foreign currency remittances, accounting treatment of complex transactions and compliance with secretarial practices
On-the-job training and professional development of staff
