• Designed the company strategy and business plan.
• Responsible for setting up new businesses and ensuring the success of Enaya.
• Developed innovative insurance products & services.
• Crafted a strategy to convert Enaya from a small captive insurance company into a main market player.
• Translated the strategy into executable business plan with specific targets and objectives.
• Built the required capabilities and competencies to achieve the business plan goals, by hiring the best talent from different markets and equipped them with the best insurance system Salesforce.
• Launched new value propositions into the Kuwaiti market for the first time that catered for different market segments.
• Expanded Enaya market network with both direct insurance brokers as well as international reinsurers which resulted in the business having access to major and profitable deals.
• Enaya was one of the 3 shortlisted companies for retiree program which is the largest insurance program in Kuwait market history with a gross premium of KD 82M.
• First company to follow lean six sigma in Kuwait, creating a flat and pragmatic organizational structure that facilitated and eased communication internally and externally with opportunities to grow the talent pool.
• Grew the external top line premium from KD 700k to more than KD 2.2M in less than two years with healthy loss ratio which didnt exceed 65%.
• Member of the Senior Executive Middle East Management Team which draws the overall Middle East strategy and operations.
• Managing 2 countries out of the 6 under the Middle East region (Kuwait and Bahrain).
• Providing leadership and direction to branches and management teams in order to maximize effectiveness and efficiency.
• Drawing both branch sales strategies and the achieving of profitable growth.
• Managing people performance and their work/outputs whilst managing the motivation and development of direct reports.
• Managing risks, developing contingency plans and ensuring risk management actions are included in branch plans and that an appropriate governance culture exists across all branches.
• Led IPZ HUB (International Program of Zurich), in charge of the operations aspect of international client programs across 48 countries.
• Improved and maintained a profitable and healthy mixed portfolio which changed the unit situation from loss making, prior to my joining, to making strong profit.
• Planned long term business goals with senior management and broke down to short term goals which were implemented in collaboration with the Takaful Unit team.
• Created, managed and developed client relationships (i.e. bringing on new business and meeting with existing clients to discuss their needs related to policy issuance and claims issues).
