• Boosted program’s portfolio from $100k to $+13m in less than 16 months with projects linking thousands of Syrians to jobs in in Turkey, Jordan & Syria.
• Secured $+9m in grants & co-funding from local & regional partners in 2016
• Launched the 1st employment center in Istanbul & the 2nd in Turkey & the region to offer comprehensive job placement services.
• Aligned Silatech’s work for Syrian Refugees with regional humanitarian & resilience plans for 2017 such as : The UNHCR’s 3RP & The UNOCHA’s HRP
• Developed & piloted Silatech’s virtual work program to train & place Palestinian youth into remote jobs
• Co-developed & rolled out two youth screening-to-placement products to support youth employment in Egypt, Tunisia, Lebanon, Jordan & Yemen in 2014.
• Supported the launch of Ta3mal employment portal across the MENA region in 2013
• Launched & lead on DardaChat initiative (2011) that addressed community reconciliation aiming at facilitating social & political dialogue among people in Syria at the early times of the Syrian crisis.
• Launched & lead on Kafoo initiative (2012) aimed at coordinating efforts among civil society organizations, UN & governmental agencies provide relief services to displaced population from Damascus-neighboring governorates during the first wave of displacement to Damascus.
• Expanded the Syria Trust programs & initiatives to additional two governorates in less than 4 months
• At a budget drop to less than 30%, I lead on an organizational restructuring with the help of a great team of employees, interns and volunteers. We managed to upgrade the operational model by thoroughly involving youth & targeted communities both in the re-development and implementation of the program portfolio. This resulted into growing SHABAB outreach from $20, 000 in 2010 to $70, 000 in 2011.
• Introduced youth-lead volunteer-based operational practices & mechanisms in late 2010 which was adopted later by the overall organization strategic transformation in late 2012.
• Conceptualized, developed & launched Business Clinics Program that laughed the first career center in Syria in 2008 before it was replicated across the country (and abroad) between 2009-2011
• Raised up to $3.1m USD in funding to SHABAB Between 2007 and 2010, including a $2.88m USD grant from the World Bank in 2009.
• Accountable for planning and delivering lessons to a range of learners of all age groups and abilities
