VAT Related Responsibilities:
• Impact assessment of client considering the issues that might affect the company and suggesting the
action plan for the identified issues.
• Advising on development of till systems to deal with VAT compliance at store level.
• Advisingonoptimumstructuresfornewcountry/depotset-uptoensurebothVATefficientandminimal
compliance burden for the VAT Compliance team.
• Advisingontheresponsetochangesintaxlegislationandkeepingrelevantbusinesspartnersand
management updated onsame.
• Working closely with the VAT compliance team to ensure VAT compliance across all the company.
• Working with the Finance teams on expected changes to VAT legislation that would impact on
budgeting and forecasting and estimating the impact of same.
• Workingwith Procurement in reviewing contractsprior to signature to ensure noVAT issues.
• Advising on the filing of VAT return
IFRS Related Responsibilities:
• Detailed Knowledge of clients to identify the key areas impacted by the implication of IFRS (ImpactAnalysis)
• GAP analysis to identify the differences when converted to IFRS.
• Identify resources that would address IFRS issues of greatest concern.
• Assess high-level accounting differences in SOCPA and IFRS.
• Assist with IFRS transition plans and timelines.
• Assist in evaluating financial information forcomprehensive differences between IFRS and SOCPA.
• Assist in Identifying strategic, alternative policy choices and the resulting impact on financial statements.
• Assistinpreparingtransitionalopeningbalancesheetandcomparativeinterimandyear-endIFRSfinancial
statements.
