Project Details:
Zubair Oil Field Development for EPC Project Drake &Scull and Sicim joint venture Well Pad Piping and Pipeline, This pipeline is 8”, 24”, 36”&52” diameter various thickness, piping material CS, Total of 400 Km this line connected to main pad &DGS(De Gasing Station).
• Verify the required WPS, Conducting the welding procedure qualification & Welder performance qualification tests depending on necessary essential variables as per to ASME Sec IX.
• Ensure welders are qualified as per the applicable code, a register is maintained to monitor their Performance.
• Ensure WPS/PQR are reviewed/ established / approved as per the applicable code.
• Preparation of repair procedure.
• NDT Personnel are qualified as per SNT-TC-1A and qualifications are valid.
• Welders and welding operators are trained/qualified as per applicable code and are currently valid (ASME IX, API 1104, AWS D1.1, ASME B31.3, ASME SEC VIII).
• Reviewing the approved quality plans, manuals and scope of work to perform the required inspection.
• Ensure dimensional stability to AFC drawing, Material Spec, Heat numbers, Mechanical properties to drawing and material test certificates,
• Ensure the piping & pipe fitting materials are handled / stored and preserved as per approved procedures. Ensure the issue / received materials and traceability are maintained.
• Renewal/Re-test Process.
• Ensure the welding machines are calibrated.
• Ensure electrodes/filler wires and other consumables are as per AFC & WPS.
• Ensure that the welding consumables are handled as per approved procedures.
• Various NDT procedures are prepared / verified and approved as per applicable code.
• PWHT, Hydro-test, leak test, procedures reviewed and approved.
• Witness preweld inspection activities likecutting, beveling, edge preparation, fit-up and tack weld etc...
• Pre heating if any, Root welding visual inspection, NDE if required
• Surveillance inspection of fit-up and welding of tanks works.
• Conduct routine inspections ongoing and completed activities relating to welding.
