Provided close protection and support for the United States Department of Defence Task Force, for both business and stability operations in Kabul, assuring the highest levels of security for various clients to facilitate progress towards greater economic independence in Afghanistan. Clients varied from 2 star generals to international investment teams. During the project, I was based in Kabul, Mazar-e-Sharif and Sheberghan, providing security to investors and clients in refurbishing a gas pipeline and main gas station between the latter two cities. In addition to taking care of clients and their needs, this position involved training LN PSD teams in weapon handling, driving skills and first aid.

Joined the 1st Battalion of the Parachute Regiment in 2000, passed out as a private soldier and worked within a rifle platoon section. In 2003, deployed to Iraq as part of Op telic 1, completing a 6-month tour working from Basra up to Baghdad clearing gas oil separation fields. In 2004, passed the basic sniper course and moved to the sniper platoon, then deployed for a 6-month tour of Northern Ireland. The unit became the Special Forces Support Group (SFSG) in 2005, after which I took part in seven Tier 1 operational tours of Afghanistan as a Sniper Section Commander. During the 7 years at SFSG, completed sniper section commander's course, sniper instructors' course, along with Junior Brecon, leaving the Army as a full corporal after serving 12 years.
