• Extraction of blood for examination through venipuncture (vacutainer) or acupuncture(skin puncture). • Monitoring Platelet count of the patient. • Preparing blood smear and helping the hematologist in making a report. • Making urinalysis and other body fluids report physical and chemical appearance in clinical microscopy section. • Examine blood sugar (FBS), cholesterol, and other blood chemistry. • Monitoring blood sugar of the patient. • Preparing tissue blocks and slice in histopathology section. • Evaluation of specimen in culture (Blood Agar Plate) and helping the Bacteriologist in making the report. • Giving the results in different nurse station. • Receiving some specimen in the reception desk. • Attends appropriate Medical Technology Educational Classes in order to maintain professional level.
