Responsible to provide a monitoring function in the assigned area to ensure that safe working place of workers are being applied and maintained. Participate in safety audit, survey and plant machinery inspection and day to day implementation of safety management programs. Develops and manages the on-site Environmental, Safety and Health Management System in accordance with Corporate ESH Policy and Procedures; Responsible for development and field implementation of the Safety Program and all contractual support plans and Occupational Safety and Health initiatives in support of the contract. Develops and manages the on-site Environmental, Safety and Health Management System in accordance with EM 385 1-1 Safety Standard strict compliance.
• Conducts safety orientation for newly hired Employee’s.
• Implementing company’s HSE Policies, Rules and Regulation, Code of practices are being followed strictly by the work force and conducts tool box meeting prior to beginning of work.
• Monitoring the HSE activity, implementation of the procedure like work at height, Confined space, Training and awareness programmed Audits and Inspection, Permit system and insure safe working atmosphere.
• Educate and train the workforce in performing their work in a safe manner.
• Accident investigation, maintaining of statistics and recommending remedial measures.
• Secured and renewed specific permits for plants and other specific work such as lifting permit, hot work permit, lock out/tag out permit, confine space procedure.
• Reviewed work methods to identify hazards and recommend safe procedures.
• Carrying out regular Unsafe Act/Condition Audits to quickly identify hazards at the work site with corrective actions to re-instate facility integrity to sustain safety, protect the environment and meet the HSE targets.
• Conduct daily toolbox talk prior to start of work in different types of daily activities.
• Responsible for assigning each safety assistant daily task on a wide variety jobsite.
• Attend weekly safety meeting and interact with the clients’ representatives in health safety and environment issues and concerns.
• Responsible on maintaining personal protective equipment availability, requisitions being made to keep our safety gears enough stock.

• Enforce strict compliance on EM 385-1-1 Personal Protective Equipment.
• Inspection of scaffold prior to the beginning of work on heights.
• Monthly inspection of ladders.

• Identify and anticipate safety and health concerns and hazards by surveying environmental, operational, and occupational conditions and render opinions on new procedures and recommend preventative programs.
• Develop safety campaigns, safety systems, policies, and procedures, and train management and employees on rules and regulations.
• Conduct safety inspections and investigate violations to ensure safety procedures are being followed and counsel managers and employees accordingly.
• Maintain worker training schedules and complete all required regulatory documentation.
• NAVFAC Engineering Technician, acknowledge this project with an outstanding good Housekeeping during the demolition of this project.
• Project turned over without any recordable Loss Time Injury.
The Site Safety and Health Officer’s (SSHO) primary duty and responsibility is to prepare and enforce the safety program, Develops and manages the on-site Environmental, Safety and Health Management System in accordance with Corporate ESH Policy and Procedures; Responsible for development and field implementation of the Safety Program and all contractual support plans and Occupational Safety and Health initiatives in support of the contract.
