As a class teacher I was responsible for:
• Teaching all areas of the primary curriculum;
• Good to Outstanding progress of pupils against ARE (Age Related Expectations)
• Organising the classroom and learning resources and creating displays and working walls to encourage a positive learning environment
• Planning, preparing and presenting lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within my class - which ranged from children Exceeding ARE to those Emerging in ARE
• Motivating pupils with engaging lessons and practical activities
• Maintaining discipline through behavioral reward systems and sanctions
• Preparing and marking work to facilitate positive pupil development which encourages children to respond to marking feedback

In Year 2:
• Plan, prepare, deliver and assess lessons across the curriculum.
• Using the APP - prepare and moderate children’s work regularly in ‘Internal Whole School Moderation’.
• Ensure the safety of the children in my care.
• Provide extra-curricular activities through running a termly after school club.
• Meeting with SEF teams to facilitate and monitor the learning and provison of R.E, History, Geography, Art.

I taught in Reception for two years. My class based teacher responsibilities were as above with the EYFS curriculum. Planning and preparation for learning opportunities for the children was different to KS1. I worked in a larger team and assessments were made through personalised ‘Learning Journals’.

As Ethos Coordinator, I was reporting to the Head Teacher and responsible for a team of 3 teachers.

Key responsibilities include:
• Strategic direction and development of ethos, strategic goals to improve Ofsted rating and overall perception of the school
• Developing and maintain the religious ethos of the school from policies to parent meetings and reporting to governing body.
• Teaching and learning as tools to further the ethos such as links with cross-curricular activities and community cohesion.
• Efficient and effective communication in Staff Insets to provide resources to support the school ethos and religious studies.
• Liaison with external agencies such as AMSUK, Langley Grammar School to train and coach/model
• Successfully lead a Section 48 Faith Inspection and Graded “Outstanding”
