 Prepare/Document SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) control testing/analysis results in accordance with established regulatory and auditing standards for Middle East Companies. (20 ledgers applicable for group of companies).
 Complete monthly/quarterly closing process by preparing and uploading reports to Corporate SOX team.
 Review the financial records such as revenue statement and documentation of expenditures to determine forms required to prepare VAT report in compliance with VAT standards and file tax returns/refunds for UAE, Bahrain, and Oman.

 Audit the inventory cycle count on quarterly basis for Middle East Companies, report the root causes of findings and solutions in Key performance indicators (KPI report).
 Ensure the business complies with the GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) accounting standards and legislative frameworks.

Job Profile: NOV Tuboscope - Senior Accountant - Intercompany and GL, from Jul 2014 to Apr 2020
 Daily processing of financial Intercompany Invoices and resolution of issues when posting invoices.
 Reconcile intercompany account balances and proactively resolve intercompany discrepancies to achieve thresholds at month end report, utilizing the consolidation reports issued by Group Reporting from the Hyperion consolidation.
 Ensure adherence to NOV intercompany accounting policy through scrutiny of requests, accurate coding provision and approvals.
 Preparing Monthly/Quarterly corporate report: Intercompany Aging Report, Mark-up for Interunit Inventory and Interunit Fixed Asset.
 Work closely with Intercompany Accountants (regional/global/shared service) for Monthly Intercompany reconciliation report and intercompany related topics.
 Responsible for operational activities of Intercompany financial closing and reporting; ensure all requirements are completed and delivered in timely manner.
 Prepare journal entries for cost accruals, unbilled revenue, prepaid amortization schedules.
 Track capital expenditure costs for new equipment and non-equipment spend, verify if complete and transfer them from Construction in Progress (CIP) to fixed assets.
 Track capital requests against annual budget and prepare capital report regularly.
 Prepare fixed assets related journal entries such as Additions, Disposals, Sales, and Transfers.
 Reconcile fixed assets subsidiary ledger to general ledger and maintain fixed asset roll forward schedule.
 Responsible for General Ledger Account Analysis and subsidiary ledger reconciliation.
 Review and analyze monthly and quarterly Balance Sheet and P&L schedules.
 Contribute towards the budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure effective financial planning.
