  • Je travaille ici depuis janvier 2015

I have joined the Programme Architecture team to define and shape the SOA roadmap and create the associated Enterprise Patterns for Integration.

Architect (Enterprise Architecture) à UCAS
  • Royaume Uni
  • septembre 2014 à décembre 2014

Evaluating and recommending Integration products and help define the Governance Process, Principles, Integration Patterns and roadmap.

Integration Architect (Enterprise Architecture) à RAC
  • Royaume Uni - Bristol
  • mai 2012 à septembre 2014

I head the Integration CoE and I am responsible for all the programmes that use the Integration ESB.

I am responsible for defining the road map for establishing a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) practice. I am also responsible for creating and running the Design Authority to govern the Integration with internal and external application (including B2B).

I also provide vital inputs when selecting Product / Vendor or evaluating them.

I have been involved in the creation of Integration CoE and I am directly responsible for the designs produced by the lead designers and technical designers. I am actively involved in project kick offs and steering group meetings. I am responsible for identifying opportunities and recommending solutions that decouples applications (legacy and future \[e.g. mobile\]) using the strategic Enterprise Service Bus.

At RAC we have on-shore / off-shore model and I have experience handling suppliers that provide such services.

Solution Architect (Lead) à Lloyds Banking Group
  • Royaume Uni - Bristol
  • mai 2008 à avril 2012

I have performed the role of a Lead Designer for high profile programs within the Group (Core Interlock Program and PCI DSS) . The program had its own Business and Technical challenges not to mention the time pressures. I played a lead role and I was responsible for influencing key project stakeholders (Program Director, Program Manager, Platform Head and ADM Chief SME's) . Certain Strategic Tools and infrastructure were being rejected by the Platforms due to platforms not being familiar with the new infrastructure or not wanting to embrace change. I lead the debate and arrived at consensus after listening and understanding EAD/ADM and Business concerns. I also convinced the Program Director, Chief SME and other senior stakeholders to de-scope certain aspects of the program as it carried high risk, cost with no tangible business benefit.

I have always stepped in and performed various roles (PM, Solution Architect, Service Architect, Lead Designer) . I understand technology (Large and Small) and have a very good people and time management skills. These are reflected within the annual feedback and can be provided if required.

I have played a key role as one of the members of the Service Planning and Design team (within HBOS) that was created to draw up the Governance and Operating model for SOA within HBOS. I have a very good understanding of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and the associated Governance, Risk and associated costs.

I have been very influential in SC&IT adopting Sparx Enterprise Architect as the preferred design tool for UML modelling.
I have been thanked at various occasions for making a complex task simple. To this I adopt TOGAF Views and View Points within my design and simplify a complex design.

My role also involves enabling the various platforms to come up with high level and detail estimates for the proposed design.

As above, my role also involves enabling the various platforms to come up with high level and detail estimates for the proposed design.

Decommissioning:
This project will be responsible for decommissioning applications (along with the associated infrastructure if not being shared) that are no longer being used or the ones that have replacement planned in 2011.

My responsibilities includes understanding the current status and recommending archiving solution for each of the applications that are to be decommissioned.

I have also worked on Master Data Management (MDM) project. My responsibilities included architecting a SOA based solution using IBM's MDM solution.

I have been involved in various proof of concepts/pathfinders to understand and defining a "Design process" for "Services" within the integrated company.

I have been responsible for Creating the "Technical Design Overview" and "Outline Solution Document" for "Services" and interfacing/integrating them using IBM Websphere middleware (Datapower and Message Broker) and securing the communication using Kerberos and X509. I am responsible for organising walkthroughs and workshops to get the proposed architecture signed off by the Group Technology and Strategy. The proposed architecture usually involves various technologies (.Net, Java etc.) to create the ESB services and "Underlying" services. The proposal also defines the infrastructure requirements for developing, testing and deploying and also load balancing and securing using HTTP/s, Kerberos, X509.

I have created the Design, Governance and Methodology (Operating Model) document and was actively involved in the Service Planning and Design team. The responsibility also involved raising awareness about SOA within the organisation.
