Assigned as QA/QC Coating, Painting & Insulation Inspector with tasks such as:
As Client/Contractor representative, provide quality and oversight of QA/QC inspectors/Inspections for Coatings/Insulation system to ensure project standards, specification, and documentation is to contractual requirements.
Preparing and Reviewing for Coating & Insulation project procedures such as Inspection & Test Plan (ITP), Method Statements (MS), & Project Procedures.
Ensure the implementation of approved Project Quality Plan (PQP), Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) developed by the contractors for the EPC scope of work.
Issue and follow up on Surveillance Report (SR), Nonconformity Reports (NCR), Corrective Action Request (CAR) and Preventive Action Request (PAR).
Verification of drawings, reviewing procedures, supervision and inspection of Corrosions, Coating & Insulation works.
Day to day supervision of ongoing coating and Insulation activities at the construction site and see to it that the work is in accordance with the engineering design and specification and within the scope of work.Checking Surface preparation, Coating Quality, Holiday, WFT, DFT, and Weather Condition, Application & Final inspection of international standard.Following specific duties such as recording weather conditions &substrate temperature by using whirling hygrometer, dew point & RH % slide calculator and steel temperature gauge.Conversant with inspection techniques such as surface cleanliness/profile check, chloride test, WFT& DFT Checks, adhesion test, Holiday detection etc as per the industry standards.Supervision of company existing projects with particular attention to Quality Control/Assurance, responsible for the execution and monitoring of approved Quality Control/Assurance Manual in the field of Coating and Painting. Preparation and submittal of quality documents to QC Supervisor and/or QA-QC Manager.Perform in-process and final inspection of coating and painting activities that includes verification of blasting materials to be used. Inspection and testing of coating/ painting equipment, visual inspection and verify surface profile of metal surface prior to metal surface prior to coating/ painting after blasting/cleaning.Conduct visual inspection on coated/painted surface and verify the wet and dry film thickness. Pressure record and/or report of complete works among other.Thermal insulation on boiler, vessels & allied plant machinery inspection. And Insulation for stream and heat tracing for piping and equipment Inspection. Insulation for chimney & auxiliary boiler inspection and Acoustic insulation inspection. Cold insulation for air conditioning ducts, chemical pipe lines & vessel inspection.Insulation for electrical tracing lines inspection. Calcium silicate work for turbine, piping & vessels inspection Foam Glass insulation for Equipment inspection. Ceramic fiber insulation for Equipment inspection.Coordinate with the client and sub-contractors representative on daily basis to resolve any quality problems or issued.Conduct visual inspection of all painting/coating materials to insure its compliance with the required project standard and specification.Conduct visual inspection on all equipment to use to ensure equipment is calibrated and in good operating condition.Conduct in process and final inspection of painted/coated pipe surface including platforms prior to delivery and installation at site.Preparation and compilation of quality reports/records and other quality related documents for activity acceptance and final project handover.Assist and perform function as maybe directed by QC Supervisor.
