Handled the complete imports and export of the company including Scrutinizing LC for exports and raising import LC in accordance to the local customs regulations.
Interacting with Ministries & local Municipalities for duty exemptions & timely approval of required governmental formalities.
Facilitate the receiving of raw materials, sourcing all materials necessary to support the manufacturing schedule on a timely basis, negotiating favorable contracts with key suppliers.

Liasioning with production department and forecasting / planning exports enabling to improve sales of the company. Liasioning and maintaining healthy relationship with Customs Authorities and Custom Agents to ease work flow.
Negotiating with freight forwarders for imports, export & transportation charges of both air & sea.
Handling export, transportation, documentation and delivery as per sales to customers in UAE, Middle East and Africa. Handling all modes of transportation and deliveries via air, sea and land.
Participated in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures, planning and arranging import logistics for overseas purchases by the most economical and cost effective mode.
Liaising with freight forwarders and customs department in timely clearance of import consignments and delivery.
Ensured the work process, documentation flow and communication of the operations department to and from the other departments are running efficiently, maximizing productivity, customer service and teamwork. Responsible for monitoring results and adjusting operations & activities to reach goals
Handled export & import of goods by Sea, Road and Air transports. Liaison with Port, Customs & Inspection agencies, Managed principals, overseas branches, Buyers, Suppliers & shipping companies
Obtain competitive inbound and outbound freight rates from shipping lines. Develop and implement effective Cost Control measures. Handling land transportation including trailers and ensuring maximum fleet efficiency with effective route planning and load factors
In-charge of Export and import documentations and controlling subordinates. Handling about 30 to 40 documents per day. Scrutinizing export Letter of Credit as per UCP 600 and negotiating with the Bank.
Negotiating non L/C documents including validation of drafts follow up with buyers and banks for timely payments as stipulated in the contracts. Giving daily report to the executive management regarding movements, negotiation and payments.
Interacting with Finance and Accounts department on daily basis in order to get the better control on the other related functionaries. Checking the documentary instructions and approval of the documentation.
Liaising with Banks, Port & Customs authorities, Insurance companies, Chamber of Commerce, Inspection agencies (Viz SGS, Lloyds, Bureau Veritas, Alec Stewart, etc...)
Coordinating with interdepartmental functions for smooth negotiation of documents. Actively involved in ISO Certification from BVQI and maintaining files for periodical auditing. Providing training to the new recruits, motivating subordinates.
