I lead in designing, specifying and selecting information system solutions, considering functionality,
data, security, integration, infrastructure and performance. I partner with the client to understand
organization and departmental strategy and agree information systems solutions to meet their
functional and non functional needs; bearing in mind to meet their overall business needs
I maintain a high degree of awareness of business solutions particularly in the area of data centers,
Collaboration and integration.
I help my clients to develop and maintain a model of the future architecture and and design a
structure that is stable, resilient and performant. I also help them exploit technology and use
knowledge of IT solutions to drive organizational change and support business process design.
Title: Associate Director - Solution Design
Defined, developed and delivered the Go-To-Market strategy for Core IT Infrastructure. I owned the
Solution Design Lifecycle which includes solution design, effort estimation, solution articulation
(Business Value Proposition & Technical Value Proposition), solution win-themes, quantifiable
transformation, development of business case (ROI/TCO) and client presentation)
I anchored the deals in conjunction with internal stakeholders and vertical BD teams
I worked closely with Portfolio Management Group, sales, business development to identify, define and
implement the key marketing strategy business objectives within each region.
One of my key responsibilities was to pursue new logos.
I managed & owned the revenue & cost target
I spent most of my time interacting with the internal/external client and other key stakeholders, as
appropriate to the level of solutioning experience and skill, to understand the strategic priorities, business
and technical requirements, issues and tactical problems, to develop and articulate robust and innovative
technical solutions.
I presented, review and modified the solution, with the internal/external client and key stakeholders, to
meet deal requirements and to close the deal for IBM. I was a part of the sales team to develop SO
solutions for clients. I led cross-geography, cross line of business teams of subject-matter experts. To
accomplish my goals I leveraged the full breadth of services, labor, assets, and software products to
develop complex, multi-year solutions and optimized cost cases that meet client requirements and needs
considering the client's base case and IBM's profitability. I owned the definition of services solutions,
within their job role scope. I filled in a critical role in the overall success of the engagement pursuit and
its primary source of IBM solution design and development around the world. I worked in conjunction
with the larger pursuit team (Sales, TSM, HR, C&N, Delivery, Pricing, Risk, etc) to deliver a winning
solution
My role assumed overall technical responsibility for the success of solution construction, implementation
and system integration in a technology, industry or business specialty for IBM Corporation, US. I work
on solutions which were primarily driven by the Corporation and had Global content in it and the contract
expected to be signed in the US. I delivered new and complex high quality solutions to clients in response
to varying business requirements. I utilized in-depth knowledge of leading-edge products and technology
in conjunction with industry and business skills to influence clients
I led and was accountable for the success of an assigned transition project. I was responsible for an array
of activities including initializing and planning projects, developing project cost structure, tracking and
reporting project deliverables, managing risk, applying project management processes and tools and
ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and with high client satisfaction. I ensured that
transitions managed adhere to IBM’s transition methodology and set of standards.
I developed the over-all transition project plan and identified dependencies of deliverables with other
project teams. Facilitated effective communication and working relationships within the transition team
and with the account team and established and maintained relationships with the clients, account team and
3rd party suppliers/interfaces
Administration & Support of IT infrastructure of NCR Corporation, Monitoring, maintaining &
troubleshooting of messaging. Monitoring, modifying & troubleshooting database access control
Adding, moving, deleting, upgrading database also Backup, verify & restoring databases
Worked as Datacenter specialist with Bechtel US. During my tenure with Bechtel I have delivered
multiple project planning and implementations in the US, Vienna, Cairo, Australia
for Maharashtra region.
Handled the Network Learning Center, Lotus Notes R5. This involved the installation of PDC’s, BDCs,
installation and configuration of Lotus Domino Server and Lotus Client on all the machines in office and
setting of the entire network on Windows NT 4.0 and Windows98 platform. Job also involved the setting
up of Networks in Educational Institutions all over Maharashtra. The protocol being used for networking
is TCP/IP. Job also involved vendor Co-ordination.
Maintaining database file, creating back-up system, restore corrupted data, deploying New Servers and
troubleshooting in terms of both hardware and software was also an integral part of the profile.
Internal Network comprised of 80 Computers of IBM make
on Windows NT Environment;
Job involved installation of the machines and subsequent setting up of the entire network on Windows
NT4.0 platform. The protocol being used for Networking was TCP/IP. The job also involved the giving of
proper permissions to users and groups. Maintaining the Server and troubleshooting in terms of both
hardware and software was also an integral part of the job profile.
Network comprised of 180 computers and 4 Servers
Job involved installation of PDC’s, BDCs, assigning of permissions to Groups and Users
and installation and maintenance of LAN’s and Server. Handled the setup of few Software
companies, Educational Institutes, Net-Cafes in and around Jamshedpur. Job also involved
the migration of Novel l to Windows NT.
