Company : The Andhra Petrochemicals Ltd., Visakhapatnam, is the
only Oxo Alcohols Plant in India producing 42, 000 TPA of high purity 2-Ethyl Hexanol, N-Butanol and I-Butanol supplied by Kverner Process Technology, LONDON, with Naptha and propylene as raw materials.

NATURE OF DUTIES :

DCS/Field operation (as per sop) Start up, Shut down, Trouble Shooting of Oxo Alcohols Unit which includes the following sections.

Field operation of HYDROGEN PLANT, consist of

· Hydrodesulphurisation Unit
· Adiabatic & steam tubular reformer
· Acid gas recovery Unit
· H2 PSA Unit

DCS/Field operation of Oxo Alcohols plant, consist of

· VPH Converter section consisting of vaporizer, a vapor phase hydrogenator and a recycle gas multistage centrifugal compressor.
· Refining section consisting of two valve tray columns of 54 and 40 trays each for refining the product to get 99.5% purity.
· Vacuum package section consisting of multistage steam jet ejectors and condensers for creating vacuum in the columns.

Continues monitoring and maintaining process parameters like temperature, pressure, flow and level and logging them at regular intervals and adjusting the parameters according to the requirements.

Operation of Fired heaters, Furnaces, Compressors, Pumps, Heat exchangers, Distillation Columns, Reactors,

Operate, Maintain and control plant operation, coordinate activities with maintenance.

Experience in catalyst filling of 1132 tubes of VPH Converter (Cu and Zn)

Preparation and follow up the maintenance activities.

Good knowledge of P & ID’s, PFD’s, and process interlocks.
