Associate Design Architect responsible for developing designs for various buildings in commercial and residential category. Office space and amenities are collectively managed by two other Architects and 3 Drafsmen to setup the firm our own.The major duties included determining the feasibility of projects, specifying project requirements, attending client meetings, adapting plans to circumstances, and handling self-promotion along with design drawing preparations. The firm collectively has finished 7 projects on which construction are on progress for 4.
Some of the projects we worked on are:
SAMANA Ayurvedic Resort
The 8 acres land area project was a proposal and the team successfully has submitted the entry includes detailed analysis on feasibility and contour site terrain adaptibility along with detailed design drawings and 3d renders. 280 hours collectively have worked on for the completion and the project had acclaimed critical appreciation from the SAMANA Group. The market study on the project has been tackled over some liability issues and approval is on the wait.
Goodlife Orthopathy Center
The project was outsourced from the previous company I had worked for ‘formexx Consultants’. The 40, 000 Square feet design has developed along with basic floor plan layouts, 3 dimensional SketchUP model and rendered images. The proposal is on approval stage after making changes in the earlier design as per coastal regulation rules and expecting to start construction in recent future.
POSITION SUMMARY
Develops creative conceptual, schematic and design development solutions. Evaluates, selects and applies advanced design and coordination of the design process, including research, analysis, programming, preparation of design documents, presentation materials, reports and participation in public processes and presentations within an established budget, schedule, site and programmatic requirements. on projects which may be multiple, large or complex in scope.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Design:
• Demonstrates advanced understanding and application of analyses and reports, including schematic diagrams of planning and fundamentals of vastu principles.
• Facilitates firm and project goals of excellence in design, execution, and sustainability.
• Understands and responds to the technical implications of design decisions.
• Understands overall tropical Modernism design concepts- style the firm follows, objectives and critical issues and applies knowledge to tasks and assignments.
• Prepares client presentation packages. Participates in internal design reviews.
Technical:
• Develops and prepares design documents including guidelines, reports, and final presentation materials.
• Evaluates and integrates client requirements and structural system implications into the overall project documents.
• Coordinates all aspects of project deliverables.
• Implements zoning analyses and reviews of area requirements and aligns these with project requirements.
• Leads project-related client discussions and presentations.
Management:
• Participates in marketing efforts and lead design presentations to prospective clients.
• Performs within the constraints of project budgets and schedules.
• Directs, organizes, mentors fellow staff and trainees
• Coordinates contractors, consultants and vendor assignments.
POSITION SUMMARY
Performs in a self-directed manner in all aspects of the building design process, including preparation of Presentation materials, Schematic design, Design development and Contract documents, Model building, Renderng and Construction administration activities within an established budget, Schedule, Site and programmatic requirements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Design:
• Prepares preliminary design studies and adaptations of alternatives for review. Case studies and data collection are often performed in the beginning of any project. collect and check the data on building rules and regulations as per the building type. the collected data will be discussed among the team and the design strategy develops.
• Prepares diagrams through which the programming and zoning of the site is graphically assessed. Prepares drawings for schematic design and design development.
• Exercises creative judgement and design application skills in preparing client presentation materials, including design sketches, renderings, models and graphics
• Adheres to firm and project goals of excellence in design, and execution.
Technical:
• Prepares contract documents including details, sections, elevations and schedules.
• Study and count commodities and furnitures in detailed drawings to prapare bill of quantity. Produces amendments, addenda and bulletins.
• Assists in preparing adaptations and technical alternatives for project team review.
• Performs area calculations according to specified standards.
• Performs site analysis, including survey of existing conditions and field measurements. taken the study data in account including the site survey, study on soil, vegetation, climate, access, proximity..etc
Management:
• Follows the project planning accordingly to execute tasks.
• Construction site management and guidance for site engineers.
• Constant contact with vendors / dealers for the selection, availability of materials and market prices.
• Self-checks work for accuracy, omissions and legibility.
While working for Architect Arjun Rathi, I learned, through the disciplines of Architecture, Landscape, Interior Design, and evolved concepts of ‘Psyche-tectural’ theory (psychetecturism being the conceptual ‘ism’ in which the city is constructed); the practice aims to innovative spatial forms that actively engage, enhance and influence the body, constantly challenging its relationship to the built environment. Along with the architectral design i also got opportunity to work on a Graphic design, Origami, Installations and Product design projects through which a better understanding of creativity and it’s prominence in built environment has been shaped.

Firefly Residence in Uran, Navi Mumbai
The 4000 Squarefeet residence+voice recording studio stands out with the unique design treatment and intelligent space planning. I was responsible to develop working drawings and design details to cordinate with site supervision and material selection. Constant interaction with the material provoders, vendors and the site supervisor helped developing verbal communication skills and good material knowledge.
Graphic Novel- Story of Salvacao
The urban rejuvenation project proposal of the Portuguese church in Dadar, Mumbai needed constance concurrence from the public for the better management and the maintainance. For which it demands an awareness programme to spread the idea and it’s relevance. We came up with an idea of publishing a graphic novel with a storyline about the cause and has a better reach to public. I lead the team and for the provided storyline from a collegue the charecter sketches are made and well composed in graphic softwares. The opportunity to use the sketching skill is the personal highlight of the project. The criticism received from the fellow graphic designers from mumbai and the public responce was huge and pragmatic, made me realiaze the significance of visual communication medium to spread the word.
S-U-R-F ‘Sustainable Urban Roof Farming’
The project was meant to design and sell prototype modules for the rooftop for the under used spaces in to productive, community areas through urban organic farming and improve the environment and health of mumbai and it’s residents. Created designs for the modules, directly got them made from the vendors and installed on many rooftops successfully. Project management to the completion through various stages were well executed along with the team and learned the client management as well.
