Academic activities - Addressing major issues of public health importance, conducting lecture classes and training undergraduates and postgraduates in various aspects of community medicine. Organizing workshops on Epidemiology and actively participating & supervising various research projects of the Department and National Health Programmes like Universal Immunization Programme (UIP), Iodine Deficiency Disorders (IDD), Reproductive & Child Health (RCH) Programme and Intensive Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) Programme. Conducting daily rural outreach clinics at Rural Maternity and Child Welfare (RMCW) Homes at sub-centre level, PHCs and Anganwadis, organising rural health camps and tribal health camps. Also, guiding postgraduates and interns for epidemiological research, developing proforma for data collection and pre-testing them and training them on computer skills regarding tabulation and analysis by using software packages and presentation of results.
