Adviser to the Federal/State and Municipal Governments on using GIS and other ICT infrastructure across the country.
• Compilation of results based on study of best practices in order to envisage GIS application for the Ministry of Panchayati Raj and implementation of the ideology on a national level.
• Study of GIS applications developed by renowned institutes and best practices from various State/National level GIS applications of India in the field of application of the technology on a grass root level;
• Review of SRS for GIS application
• Review of National GIS policy w.r.t requirements of Ministry of Panchayati raj
• Discussion with ISRO on Space based information support on Decentralized planning and use of Bhuvan Geo-Panchayat by PR Institutes (PRIs)
• Review and follow up action on Metadata and Data Standards draft document with all members of the expert committee;
• IPv6 compliance in the Ministry and related follow-ups
• Inter- Ministerial discussion on National Optical Fibre Network (NOFN) and related discussions on its implementation in the country
• Generation of Good practices on Panchayat Extension under Scheduled Areas (PESA)
• Coordination, discussion and meeting on Basic Statistics for Local Level Development (BSLLD) under Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation for inclusion of Urban module under AreaProfiler application of Panchayat Enterprise Suite (PES)
• Describe Synergy between National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) and e-Panchayat MMP
• Activities pertaining to understanding the requirements under National Data Sharing and Accessibility Policy (NDSAP) by coordinating with DST. Coordination within the Ministry to identify datasets for upload on to data.gov.in
• Monitoring ICT and Panchayat Enterprise Suite training in all states.
• Project management activities w.r.t all applications covered under e-Panchayat
• Coordination with other national agencies in conducting basic computer trainings to Panchayat functionaries across the country;
• Video Conference on GIS - content for discussion prepared, conference conducted and State feedback collated;
• Central Review Meeting on e-Panchayat- contents prepared, meeting conducted;
• Identifying National Organizations for exchange of spatial information pertaining to Panchayats for building National Panchayat level spatial database;
• Meeting and discussion with State Panchayati Raj depts. to resolve issues pertaining to e-Panchayat adoption;
• Act as a mediator for discussion between State Panchayati Raj (PR) depts. to resolve issues pertaining to applications under e-Panchayat;
• Coordination with all States and Union Territories (UTs) of the country to help them setup Program Management Units to operationalize e-Panchayat in their respective States & UTs.

‘To-be’ study report with respect to usage of GIS and GPS in fisheries.

RFP evaluation with respect to the GIS component in the development of web application for issuance of land use certificate and managing the land use details within the department.

Presenting the usage of Web application developed for easier updation of cadastral and land records by the concerned departments as well as for gathering information by general public.

Assessment of GIS integration with various modules of a Municipal corporation

Consultancy with respect to usage of GIS for better and smooth handling of Railway freight traffic on the planned freight corridor
