Was assisting the Sr. Shift Engineer as the control room in-charge of running 6 x 60 MW, 2 x 180 MW Boiler and steam turbine generators. This includes effective monitoring of men and machinery.
• Maintaining the grid frequency within spec. Stepping in emergencies to help out the operators’ to handle the situation effectively.
• Identifying and correcting abnormalities on time without disrupting normal plant operation.
• Reporting the defects and following up with maintenance departments to minimize downtime. Preparing equipments for maintenance after proper lockout tag-out.
• Keeping close watch of preventive maintenance schedules and activities to prevent break-downs.

• In charge of operation and shift maintenance of the utilities plant having the following units; 3 nos. of rotograte spreader stoker coal fired boilers of each having an evaporation capacity of 60 T/Hr. at 60 of 22.5 T/Hr. Kg/Cm² pressure and 450° C and 1 no. black liquor fired recovery boiler with a designed steam generation.
