Nature & Responsibilities of Job:
1. DB ISA Team - Solaris Zone Build, Server, Database and Zone Decommissioning, Storage uplift, Zone migration to same storage array
or different physical server and Storage Reclaims. (VCS & Non VCS)
2. Maintenance and administration of Solaris Servers. Work with application development teams integrating applications.
3. Investigate and resolve technical infrastructure issues through structured problem analysis, coordination with other technical teams, and
effective management of the end customer.
4. Carry out daily routine Solaris system administration and maintenance activities in onsite environment.
5. Carryout daily Solaris operational activities and attend to client requirements.
6. System process monitoring at all levels.
7. Work with operations group to establish and improve processes and procedures related to the UNIX infrastructure
8. Monitors performance and tunes the servers for best performance· Work with the application and project teams to formulate requirements.
9. Providing Level-2 Support to the Infrastructures for Which are completely Based on Linux/Unix, Solaris 9 & 10.
10. Working on Clusters like Varitas Cluster Service either from the same client, or from several clients, across multiple hosts in the cluster.
11. Providing support for Varitas/Solaris Volume manager.
12. Need to participate on the conference call (Incident Management) with L3 team on a major issue and need to find the root cause.
