I work as a Student Recruitment Coordinator in the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin. I run a student ambassador programme made up of students from all over the world, which includes creating marketing and social media and coordinating Student Ambassador participation at college events both internal and external. I manage all social media channels and the RCS-eye website, creating engaging content for our audiences. I assist in the organisation of student recruitment events and meet with prospective students, parents and teachers. I provide administrative support and manage an inbox open to public queries.
I worked temporarily as an administrative assistant at a luxury car dealership for the month of July 2019. I acted as front of house, managing phone lines and email inboxes. I looked after all appointments and welcomed customers on arrival.
I worked in the Project Communications Consultancy Business Unit. I supported the small team of communications consultants delivering campaigns and projects for G.S.I, Irish Water, the EU Commission, and L.G.M.A. Developing and delivering social media strategies and campaigns for clients and company projects. Producing infographics, videos, and images to be published on website. News monitoring. Promoting campaigns across several digital channels. Selling in stories to the media. Produced monthly social media cuttings and reports. Manning telephone information lines for several projects working to inform the public.
Researching news stories for the website. Writing articles. Composing articles and sourcing appropriate images for a digital format. Sub-editing articles. Interviewing public members, celebrities, etc. at events as well as making cold calls. Conducting Facebook Live video at events, as well as taking photographs for the website.
