Working as Senior Fabrication Engineer in JSW Steel Plant, Karnataka which is under plant production capacity ramp up from 10 MTPA to 23 MTPA. Need to overlook project sites and ensure project is on schedule. Supervise the activities of production staff and provide technical support as well as managing and supervising construction erection activities. Ensure control valves and critical equipments are installed as per drawing. Supervise site fabrication activities are as per drawing and quality.Ensure the footing for mechanical equipments is on level and proper sole plates are provided before equipment erection. Ensure materials as per bill of quantity to be issued to contractor.Ensuring safety while lifting of heavy equipments is done as per safe procedures.
Fabrication yard of Larsen and Toubro
Modular Fabrication Facility, Chennai having operational capacity of
50000MTPA. Aim is to ensure execution of design as per engineering drawing and
timely productivity.
Working in fabrication of module C/o Linde Engineering Pvt. Ltd having
total weight of 2200 Tons.Structural Weight of module is 1547 Tons.
Reviewed structural designs performed by outsourced engineering and co-
ordinated with design team for corrections.
Co-ordinate the contract for proper updated drawings, materials,
consumables etc. what are all needed to accomplish the project.
Co-ordinate with NDT Department for RT, UT, MPT to inspect the welded
area.
Co-ordinate with Quality department and client for each stage inspection of
the structure fabrication and erection.
Pre planning of material availability or co-ordinate with design team to send
material cutting plan to prefabrication team to ensure continuous fabrication.
Ensure prefabricated part components are on site beforehand to ensure
continuous productivity.
To study the isometric drawings received from the client and to identify the
pipe lines and carry out inspection work.
Check flow direction arrows on valves and verify that they are properly
identified and valves are installed in accordance with flow direction.
Make the arrangements for pressure testing as per the drawing.
Educate the workers to make the loop as per the test pack.
Interact with client and complete the process as per their requirement.
Planning the jobs, arranging work permits and other department assistance.
Coordinate with site fabricator to ensure optimum output from fitters,
welders, grinders, riggers and assembly team members.
Conducting Toolbox meetings, drafting Standard Maintenance procedures,
Critical Task analysis and Job safety analysis, and Hazard studies.
Ensuring quality checks before offering to quality for inspection.
Ensure site working personal are trained and provided with proper safety
gears ensuring team members safety.
Arranging cranes, hydra, forklift and other required machineries or
equipment beforehand ensuring continuous production.
Ensuring safe workplace by implementing 5’s Concept to improve site
workers safety and simultaneously improving productivity.
