As a Geo-environmental Consultant at RSK, I have the following roles and experience:
- Expertise in window sample, CP and rotary rig supervision
- Trial pitting
- Environmental validation
- Ground and gas monitoring

- Geotechnical analysis
- Interpretative and factual reporting
- Health and safety documentation
As well as the responsibilities listed above, I am responsible for project management of site works and reporting, ensuring comprehensive oversight and coordination. Senior leaders at RSK have been delighted with how well I have managed each project, and my initiative to frequently hold meetings with both colleagues and stakeholders to share progress and build rapport. Due to these achievements, I have been chosen to undergo various training programs, including the completion of Advanced Consultant Training, as part of my journey toward senior leadership.
As Team Leader and Senior Project Engineer at ALIGN HS2, I spearheaded large-scale surface water and groundwater environmental monitoring initiatives. Leading a team of nine engineers, my role involved comprehensive management and organization, strategic planning, delivery of health and safety and project briefings. As well as this, it was my responsibility to coordinate with HS2 and EA project managers to ensure stringent adherence to environmental requirements.
Proficient in Excel, I regularly handled extensive groundwater logger data, recognizing the critical significance of environmental preservation in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and the Chalk Aquifer.
Additionally, I served as an Engineering Geologist on the London Power Tunnels 2 (LPT2) project, focusing on trial pitting, rig supervision (CP & Rotary), packer testing, soakaway testing, and assisting with chalk logging.
Throughout my studies, I gained specialist knowledge in tunnel, surface, and underground excavation design, as well as on applied hydrogeology and risk assessment. Moreover, I routinely completed professional reports and conducted geotechnical laboratory and in-situ testing. A selection of the modules studied: - Soil Mechanics - Surface Excavation - Underground Excavation - Underground Construction - Site Investigation - Excavation Geo-mechanics - Project Management - Hydrogeology Dissertation Project: I conducted a comprehensive deterministic and probabilistic slope stability analysis for an open pit mine in Africa, utilising advanced applications such as RS2, RS3, RocFall3, and Slide2. Throughout this project I received exceptional feedback from my tutors, praising my attention to detail.
Over the course of three years, I actively participated in fieldwork in Cyprus, Spain, and the Jurassic Coast. Additionally, I accomplished a BSc dissertation project during a work placement with a mineral exploration company in Finland (further details provided below).
