• Attend to various civil and infrastructural Inspection Request (IR) submitted by the Contractor taking appropriate action in a timely manner.
• Reported any works carried out by the Contractor not in accordance with the approved Contract Document including drawings, specifications, etc. for corrective action by the Contractor.
• Witnessed material sampling and testing, material delivery inspection in addition to civil and infrastructure inspections for the respective areas.
• Prepared weekly reports for completed works inspections, material delivery inspections and testing.
• Monitored the quality of the works, and assessed the safety at site, including health and environmental issues, and ensured immediate corrective action is taken in accordance with the Contract/QCS, project specifications, and HSE risk assessments, on a daily basis.
• Also to monitor and witness asphalt laying, sampling and coring, field density tests for unbound material, soil suitability sampling and testing, and maintained records of the daily activities on site including progress photos.
• Reviewing submitted Project Quality Plans, Method Statements, Test Certificates and Shop Drawings using the Aconex document control system for the works on site.
• Verifying that the quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes, standards and Contract Documents. Assuring that all technical documents relative to site quality control are current and are complied with. Controlled all non-conformance reports and monitored and recorded the necessary remedial action.
• Ensured all quality control documentation is compiled and completed prior to handover. I also undertook the role of Piping Quality Inspector, and my related duties included, the inspection of all welding to ensure conformance with the relevant weld procedures, codes and client requirements.
• Inspected, recorded, and marked all received pressure parts and bolt-up materials. Maintained surveillance of welding and fitting practices to ensure conformance with the Welding Procedure Specifications, Codes, and client specific requirements (i.e. preheat, tacking, electrode storage, weld parameters, etc.).
