To operate the power plant according to procedures and requirements including but not limited to starting, loading, unloading and shutting down the complete plant and systems.
To operate (WTE )waste to energy plant equipment in a safe, smooth and efficient manner
To enforce refuses screening procedure
To carry out front line trouble shooting of ( WTE) waste to energy plant equipment for maintenance
To carry out isolation and normalization of (WTE) waste to energy plant equipment for maintenance
To carry out isolation and normalization of equipment as require by the permit to work system.
Have sound knowledge of the safe operating parameters, controls, precaution and safety interlocks when starting and loading plant equipment so as to avoid damage and to be able to run the plant in the most efficient manner.
Plant process conditions troubleshooting, analyzing and testing when necessary.
To troubleshoot, study process and equipment fault
Able to manage, monitoring and control the plant process operation from control room DCS.
Record plant operating data and report defects and abnormalities.
To support the Assistant/Shift Charge Engineer to meet the contractual. Technical and commercial set-up and operation of the power station.
To assist Operation Engineer / Shift Leader in attending to plant emergency
Understand and be familiar with plant chemistry including handling of plant waste discharge.
To carry out plant change-over and conduct testing of equipment to meet statutory compliance and best industry practices.
Assist to implement modern O&M practices, tools and techniques for safe, reliable and efficient power station operation and to fully utilize plant’s contractual energy, fuel and utility supply agreements.
Assist to implement a quality management system as applied to the power station.
Help to implement and manage all Health, Safety and Environmental practices.
Any other duty as assigned
To conduct routine checks of the equipment of the plants.
To ensure and meet the parameters and limit of emission of the plant for safe environment.
Communicate with regulatory authority on all operation matters on a timely manner.
