Lead Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities:
• Design the temporary power requirement of the project by studying the total load requirements in coordination with other discipline.
• Prepare/review the detailed Bill of Materials and technical specification of the equipment and materials subject for procurement
• Evaluate the quotations of vendors/suppliers in consideration of the cost, specification, warranty and time of delivery.
• Monitor the execution of works and testing by reviewing the reports submitted by site engineers that directly supervise installations.
• Review the qualification of subcontractor’s personnel and interview those short listed prior to the acceptance of their deployment in the project.
• Review of design drawings from SLD, Schematic drawing, layout and other drawings where the interface work is required prior to the issuance of RFQ to each specialist vendors.
• Arrange the issuance of RFI to consultant/client for any discrepancy or ambiguity found during the drawing and specification review process and work execution.
• Review the deliverables submitted by subcontractor from pre-qualification, material submittals, method statement, ITP’s, shop drawings and other project related documents prior to its submission to client/consultant.
• Participate in developing the planning package in establishing the baseline program and milestone related to electrical and ELV discipline.
• Participate in weekly progress meetings and directly reply to client/consultant’s query on the matters related to the project.
• Co-administer the weekly MEP coordination meeting to discuss and re-solve the issues that arise during the phase of construction and to ascertain that the baseline program is respected.
• Monitor the construction progress thru the report submitted by subcontractor in coordination with each engineer in-charge of each package and compare the same to the baseline program.
• Alert the subcontractor for any lagging activities and ask for recovery/mitigation plan that is realistic and acceptable.
• Liaise with client/consultant for technical and commercial matters related to the project.
• Review, accept or reject the RFI submitted by subcontractor that requires resolution from the client/consultant.
• Review, accept or reject the additional monetary claims by subcontractor base on the scope of works, specification and AFC drawings.
• Review, accept or reject the monthly invoice of subcontractor against the actual work executed in reference to the accepted IR’s signed and accepted by site engineer in-charge.
• Review, accept or reject the testing and commissioning documents submitted by subcontractor prior to its submission to client/consultant.
• Review, accept or reject the maintenance manual documents submitted by subcontractor prior to its submission to client/consultant.
• Review the status of as-built drawings as certified by each site engineers assigned in each package.
• Participate in the final commissioning stage in the time of system integration where individual system will be operated in main/satellite control rooms.
• Review and monitor the submission of electrical and ELV project dossier to the client/consultant.
QA/QC - Electrical Engineer (Electrical & ELV System)

Responsibilities:
• Ensure the quality & correct installation of Electrical works (Power, Lighting, Earthing & Lightning Protection System, CCTV, BMS, Access Control & Fire Alarm System) base on the approved shop drawings, approved submittals, specification & applicable standards.
• Review the subcontractor’s submittal (Shop Drawing, Material Submittal, Methods Statements, ITP’s & RFI) for its adequacy & compliance to project requirements before transmitting to the Consultant for review / approval.
• Pre-inspection and verification of material deliveries to ensure its conformity to the approved material submittal, specifications and in proper storage area prior to Consultant inspection.
• Pre-inspection of subcontractor’s work to verify its completeness as per approved drawing, type of material used and workmanship quality prior to Consultant’s inspection.
• Prepare the QA/QC surveillance report highlighting the site issues that must be resolve internally by Main Contractor & Subcontractors.
Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities:
• Ensure the quality and correct electrical installation of Low and Medium Voltage Installation based on the approved drawing, specification, submittals, contract documents and applicable standards.
• Verify the material deliveries on site and ensure that only the approved materials will be accepted and quarantine those deliveries that do not conform to the requirements.
• Monitor / supervise the installation of all contractors and ensure conformance to project specification, contract documents and project schedule.
• Review the contractors claims related to electrical works, prepare recommendation or rejection and assist in negotiation with the contractors regarding the value of claims.
• Prepare a written correspondence to Site Management for any discrepancy on the drawing, problems on job execution and other related matter concerning the electrical works in the project.
• Witness the testing of materials and equipments installed on site, such as MV Switchgear, LV Switchgear, Transformer (up to 1600KVA), LV Busduct, UPS, Battery Charger, PLC and verify if the result conforms to the project requirements / specification.
• Check and verify all the system protection and settings of relays in the Switchgear in accordance with the test values & settings depicted in the drawing before having the system in service.
• Witness the testing and commissioning of Low Voltage (400/230/127V) installations with the contractor and client representative prior to project handover.
• Witness the testing and commissioning of Medium Voltage (13.8KV radial system) installations including system automation with the contractor & client representative prior to project handover.
• Prepare the final punch list for each contractor and supplier for the balance of work that they must complete as indicated in the drawing, contract documents and specification.
• Facilitate the closure of each punch list to the client representative, update the same in the register and release the concerned subcontractor/supplier from his obligation in the contract after compliance.
• Check and validate the copy of operation manual and as-built drawing (as part of Final Dossier) submitted by subcontractor before handing it over to the Client.
• Overall in-charge to all electrical works of the company from tender stage, preparation of submittals, drawings, permits/licenses from government agencies to project execution and testing.
• Preparation of electrical design and specification subject for the review/approval of Professional Electrical Engineer prior to its submission to government agency concern for permits/licenses.
• Coordinate with the concern utility company for power tapping to the completed projects.

• In-charge in the day to day activities of the workers with constant coordination to the foremen.
• Coordinate with the other discipline in the project for the final routing of the installations and ensure that conflicts are avoided.
• Update the approved drawing for any modification and reflect the same in As-built for approval of the consultant prior to inspection.
• Ensure the availability of materials from the site store with the constant coordination with the storekeeper and request when necessary.
• Prepare the weekly report to be submitted to Project Engineer regarding the accomplishment, manpower availability, material status and other related matters on the project.
