PARTS CONSULTANT - Heavy Equipment / Industrial Machinery
Answering calls from customers and end-users needing parts support on their equipment, questions regarding the products, billing, and shipment status. • Delivery of high-quality parts in a timely and professional manner through analyzing the parts reporting process, providing updates & recommendations. • Promoting the company and its products positively, promoting and follow quality assurance type processes, identify and report quality problems and suggest remedies. • Maintained current and up-to-date knowledge of company products and internal components, as well as Customer Service Technical Bulletin Fax, Mailings, and E-Mail system. • Creation and Implementation of tracking sheets for daily spares reports, spares inventory orders, repairs, and receipts of warranty/no- warranty inventory to support and service commitments on ensuring company and customer requirements were met for warranty issues. • Proactively identify opportunities within the prescribed customer base using SAP ERP / CRM information systems. Provide all formal communications (letters, quotes, emails). • Managed and handled all work orders, purchases, requisitions, and required tools and materials through SAP. • Create invoices for customers in line with accurate estimates of time & cost utilizing the parts inventory and parts pricing systems, Credit Memo's, processed credit card payments as needed and worked monthly collections report. • Proactively contribute to parts planning activities in the region and identify areas where stocks may need to be adjusted by updating parts planning tools. • Provide relevant information to other areas of the business by keeping factual and relevant notes on customer visit reports.

• Responsible for organizing and interpret auto parts for costumer in order to have a great deal of parts to repair and maintain their vehicles / engines. Using computers to access sophisticated computer databases of engine parts to locate the necessary parts for the customer. Also apply mathematical skills to understand measurements and dimensions of particular parts to know which parts will be the most suitable for a particular engine. Provide cost estimates to the customer when the particular part needed is identified. Also conduct follow-ups to make sure that the engine worked properly.
• Monitor the inventory of parts departments, maintain knowledge of automotive systems and inform customers of basic technical information on their engines. Pick out automotive parts for customers and speak with customers to diagnose basic automotive problems. Also perform sales duties in attempting to sell more expensive items.
• Responsible to interpret of parts and other accessories needed in minor or major engine repair so that technicians can perform their repair correctly and accurately without any trouble during the time of engine commissioning.
• Perform technical research and advice if the technicians need some technical support on engine specification specially in major engine repair (general overhaul) such as; minimum and maximum measurement of crankshaft and connecting rod journal for the correct supply of bearings; what piston and ring, intake/exhaust valves, turbocharger and calibration code if incase the engine will be converted (from automotive to marine application) base on OEM engine specifications and etc.
• Monitor supersession’s and take necessary action as required.
• Responsible for the counter sales operations such as; entertain/accommodate walk-in customers and respond to their inquiry such as price and availability of parts and make parts quotations to respond according to the customer’s need and apply discounting methods if necessary to capture sales.
• Respond to the inquiry of the customer over the phone or fax and make price quotations within 24hours.
• Follow-up price quotations made to customers if the quotations is approved or not and make corrective actions if loss of sales occurs.
• Monitor lost sales and take necessary action as required

• Undertake additional responsibilities if necessary.
