This position reports to the Group Treasurer.
• In 2011, joined as member of restructuring team that transformed Treasury., increasing net profit by several folds, from SAR 166 million (in 2011) to SAR 720 million (in 2020).
• Developed comprehensive FTP policy and implemented via the ALM/FTP system for automated and accurate reporting. Treasury’s point of contact for the continuous review/update of comprehensive FTP Policy, that is set with objective of assigning true transfer price based on risk characteristic of business line/product.
• Developed and implemented numerous Treasury Policies such as Policy Manual, Investment Policy, Hedging policy, Contingency Funding Plan and Funding Strategy.
• Developed Monthly Profitability Reports (MPR), as a tool for measuring performance by product and desk. Oversee production of comprehensive Sales Dashboard that monitors the Bank’s FX revenue.
• Implemented state-of-the-art industry leading Treasury systems, including Kondor, Front Arena and Ambit Focus.
Additionally, core areas of responsibility are:
• Analyze and monitor Banks Balance Sheet Risks covering long term liquidity and funding risks as well as interest rate risks of the Banking book and Capital planning.
• Provides daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly MIS and ad hoc reports related to Treasury so that Management can take proper business decisions. In addition, providing periodic economic/liquidity updates and ad-hoc analysis.
• Track accrual revenue on on a daily basis using sophisticated systems. Ensuring that the FTP parameters such as base curves, liquidity premiums and cushions are in accordance with the approved FTP.
• Tracking Treasury’s KPIs and budgets/forecasts.
• Create Treasury presentations for the Board of Directors, Senior Management, Regulators and Credit Rating agencies.
• Supporting the Treasurer by providing economic/liquidity commentary on a weekly basis, as well as performing ad-hoc financial analysis.
• Preparing Treasury’s annual budgets and forecasts at product and desk level, as per management guidelines and projected volumes/rates.
• Reviewing Market Risk’s daily risk management reports such as Profit Rate Exposure (DV01), Market Access Report (Liquidity Gaps), Early Warning Indicators, LCR & NSFR ratios etc. Highlighting the breaches to Treasurer and develop proposals for mitigation based on Treasurer’s guidelines.
• Treasury project lead for all system upgrade and enhancement projects.
• Treasury’s Audit & Compliance champion/point of contact. Act as the first line of defense for Treasury activities by conducting rigorous testing and updating policies consistent with evolving guidance from the regulators.
• Review of Market Risk’s simulation on the effects of various possible changes in market conditions e.g., interest rates, volumes, customer behavior, balance sheet structure and discuss/propose recommended actions.
• Review the ILAAP and ICAAP submission from Treasury standpoint.
• Treasury’s point of contact for Saudi Central Bank (“SAMA”) queries/info. requests.
• Manage all Treasury administrative functions including Expense Management (Cost controller), Business Continuity Management (BCM), Disaster Recovery (DR) Planning, and relationship management with Treasury vendors.
• Supporting Head of Treasury MIS in the roles and responsibilities as mentioned above.
• Joined as “Manager Treasury MIS” in May 2011 and was promoted to Senior Manager

Management Reporting for Regional & Local Management
Responsibilities include
Preparation of Management Financials for the Group & Local management in line with the Global Product / Client MI framework through Hyperion. Reports are prepared with business/segment/product perspective.
Production of comprehensive ‘Management Information Packs’ for CEO, CFO and respective Business heads. The in-house reporting system (developed myself) is the core solution and report for MI needs of all business segments from the perspective of business/segment & product profitability. It covers month-on-month/YTD information on the P&L lines and Balance Sheet comparatives. MI Packs are supplemented by commentaries and graphical representations for analysis of Yield & Spreads, Interest Rates, Revenue & Cost product mix, Key Ratios etc.
Preparing Year-to-date Performance Packs with commentaries for the CFO covering P&L and Balance Sheet from the business/segment perspective. Covering achievements and various aspects affecting P&L and BS volumes
Conducting preparation/consolidation of Annual Budgets & Quarterly Forecasts for the Bank which includes extensive correspondence with the businesses, providing them the key drivers and understanding the basic model. It also includes efficient consolidation with effective version controls
Preparing by product & by segment transfer-priced balance sheet to calculate Net Interest margins for each business segment & product. This report is extensively used by the Global Banking & Markets, Global Transaction Services and Retail & Commercial business heads.
Preparing monthly finance presentation for ALCO (Asset & Liability Committee’s) meetings.

Group Reporting (August 2005 to August 2007)
Responsibilities included:
Assisting in preparation of Management Financials for the Management team on business segment level with necessary commentary packs. Included derivation of transferred priced interest earnings, application of ABC costing mechanism, innovative allocation techniques to compute true business profitability. Providing corporate relationship managers with accountwise profitability reports
Extensive involvement in the extensive budgeting and forecasting processes, including preparation of templates, identifying business drivers, liaising with the business

Working closely with the reporting stakeholders for improvement of mappings and maintenance of the People Soft General Ledger chart-of-accounts to ensure that the Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet accounts / transactions in the subsidiary transaction processing systems (TP) are adequately mapped. Also, managing change management process to get the changes implemented at the right source with help of local and regional teams
