With over 13, 000 advisors on the field, Wells Fargos Wealth and Investment Management is one of the largest wealth managers in the USA.
The Core Engineering and Data group is responsible for tech strategy and, to build and
maintain several horizontal capabilities, services and Data platforms used by various product groups across the line of business. The regional team that I lead has 200 engineers, analysts, scrum masters, product owners and engineering managers, spread across three cities. Collectively, we run over 600 services that are either using a cloud native, domain model based micro services architecture, or are in the process of moving towards it, and several terabytes of operational as well as analytical data.
Key Responsibilities:
Build our engineering, data and API strategies for the entire line of business Execute cloud migration, moving to Microsoft Azure API modernization Created an executed a co-location framework for adopting and implementing Agile practices across the line of business Created a global UX strategy, and AI strategy from scratch Own contracts and SOWs with vendors in India, as part of our overall workforce and execution plans for core engineering
Involved in several cross LOB activities and initiatives, including location strategy,
site risk management, employee engagement, recruitment, skill development, and
so on.
Arcesium is a SaaS post-trade technology product, and professional services firm. Built on AWS, it combines proprietary software, technology, and an experienced team of professionals to deliver complete post-trade support. It is designed to optimize the daily and monthly middle- and back-office processes of alternative asset managers. I served asthe Chief of Staff, India, for the CTO, and worked closely with various engineering and product management teams, apart from Finance and HR. I also owned several strategic management initiatives and platforms within the Technology organization.

Planet Clubs was a unique membership platform for fitness and wellness, for individuals as well as corporate entities. Built this business from scratch and sold it to an investor.
Responsibilities:
Came up with the concept, and bootstrapped the business Designed and developed a world class user experience, that was seamless across mobile, web and even offline Product Owner and Manager: I was responsible for the complete product strategy, wherein I constantly made sure that the offering was in line with market needs and commercial requirements Architecture and Development: I had myself coded the MVP front-to-back. Then, with a larger team, I was the Chief Architect and designer of the product while also developing several modules
Sales and marketing: I was responsible for creating and executing end to end
marketing and sales strategies.
I owned the Client Management platform for the International Wealth Management business; and also lead the growing IWM team in Bangalore. I had complete product ownership globally, and also functional, business facing responsibilities for the APAC and EMEA regions. Led a diversified, distributed, global team of employees and consultants. Re-engineered the entire client data platform, revamped the UI/UX of the client onboarding application, led significant global programs for complex financial product implementations, migrated portofolio accounting and performance management to a modern architecture, and led program to create production data in lower environments.
Joined this global investment leader as a Project Leader in November 2004 and was promoted to Associate Director about two years later. I had global ownership of User Experience Engineering, where I oversaw UX strategy and UI engineering for hundreds of applications across the company. I also had global ownership of the Portfolio Accounting platform and Broker Straight Through Processing engine. Additionally, I also managed the Project Management Office (PMO).
Reported to the Vice president, leading a team of up to 20 resources, located in three continents, in the Global Service Delivery organization (onshore and offshore). Started as a lead developer on Reveleus, a data warehousing solution, and then moved to develop Financial Derivatives platforms for Citigroup, our largest client, onsite.
Worked in Fixed Income Risk Technology at London, UK. Developed systems on Unix, C/C++, Java, working with global teams. Provided on-site Service Support to over 20 applications. Developed and integrated new pricing and risk models into the Citigroup Derivatives System. Also revamped the UI of Derivatives platform such that it improved order booking efficiency by over 75%.
Designed and developed products in the GIS (Geographical Information System) domain, including vehicular routing and mapping systems using Visual C++. Led a team of 13 engineers for a major project for a German client.
