Responsible for cross checking the tender documents before publish in the public domain, monitoring the progress of works, advising the relevant manager at agreed periodicities, and agreeing alternations to programs of work or working patterns as required. Coordination between consultant, relevant Ministries, contractors, beneficiaries, suppliers ect
Coordinating with relevant line ministries and consultant while preparing tender documents.
Performing risk and cost control.
Assisting on procurement strategy.
Providing advice on contractual claims.
Monitoring the work progress and quality.
Valuing completed works and arranging payments.
Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use.
Analyzing outcomes and writing detailed progress report.
Assisting in establishing clients requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.
Responsible for the Srilanka mission’s Engineering unit and coordinate the technical activities of the Local Authorities Service Improvement project by providing good guidance to the Technical officers and/or Superintend of construction works while implementing the construction / renovation works. As a manager in Trincomalle district project, has overall responsibility in implementation operational level. Coordination between Local authorities, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders. Cost Engineering duties.
Preparing and analyzing costing for tenders.
Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work
Advising on the maintenance cost of completed buildings.
Undertake feasibility studies to assist in decisions about the worth of project proceeding.
Responsibility for activities related to technical parts of the project \[construction and renovation\] in both
Districts.
Guidance to Local Authorities during identification of suitable locations and premises for the construction and/or renovation.
Guide and facilitate with the Technical officers of Local Authorities during preparation of the construction and/or renovation.
Supporting Local Authorities during the preparation of project proposals’ technical parts \[E.g. BOQs\]
Regular information exchange with technical officers of the Local Authorities during the construction and/or renovation works.
Guidance and support to the Local Authorities especially to the technical officers to create the sustainability measures to maintain the constructed and/or renovated infrastructures.
Managing activities in Trincomalle district; coordination of project activities, regular information exchange and networking with stakeholders in Trincomalle district.
Prepare and submit inputs to regular reports (weekly reports, monthly reports, bimonthly reports, government reports, donor reports).
Collect lessons learnt and ideas or impulses for possible future projects.
Coordinate project staffs to achieve the project objectives
Conducting pre - feasibility studies (Engineering) to implement the project
Coordinate with service providers, sub - contractors and suppliers.
Obtaining approval to stake holders to implement the project
Weekly, monthly and project closer reports to head of mission
Prepare and submit materials to measure the sustainability of the project
Any other relevant tasks leading to fulfilling the project objectives.
Project cost management activities.
Prepare Engineering documents such as Bills of Quantities, Drawings, Specification, tender documents and contract documents to housing and road renovation projects as per the ICTAD standard.
Prepare tender evaluation reports in cooperate with tender evaluation team.
Conducting project Feasibility studies and reporting
Preparation of tender documents and contract documents.
